Home visits offered to clients away from home for the day.

We have made the decision to cancel most of our walks tomorrow.
Last pack walk finishes by 10am.
All walks are on lead and with regular water pit stops.
If any dogs show signs of struggling- they’ll be returned home.

These weather conditions are too intense for our fur wearing family members and we refuse to put the dogs at risk.

Thank you to all of you who have been patient, kind and understanding as we face the tricky temperatures.

Hot weather ⚠️

Hi clients,

With the forecast this week expected as above 24oC most days, we will be attempting to bring as many of our walks forward to avoid the highest of temperatures during the middle of the day.

If the shaded areas are limited or if the dogs look to be struggling we will be shorting the duration of their walk times (judging each dog individually for their needs and comfort).

We will not be throwing balls and we will be minimizing off lead time in order to reduce risks of dogs overheating.
Walks will be attempted to be in shaded areas- where possible.
We will carry water and rehydrate your dogs whilst they are with us.

We ask that you consider placing two bowls of water for your dog, if you’re away from home during the day and attempt to keep your pets in the coolest part of your homes.

Offering water 💦 on walks.
Dogs kept on leads to avoid exertion.
Walk durations shortened to ensure enjoyment is maintained.
Minimising times in the car (air con in use!)

This week we have had Dean on work experience with the team at Mary Pawpins.
Dean has been exposed to many areas of the business, from walking the pooches (with supervision) to assisting with the admin. We have discussed Health and safety, account keeping, compliance-insurance, data handling (Intro do GDPR), contracts and more!

Having the opportunity to work with a self employed business enables us to share the operational aspects of our business, which is transferable to many other professions.
Dean, we hope you have enjoyed your week with us at Mary Pawpins Pet care and that you go on confidently with the skills and knowledge you have obtained this week.

Today is a day of introducing ourselves to four new fur clients, some in preparation for them joining the Pawpins packs next week.
Three completely different breeds, all with different needs.
We pride ourselves in matching the right dogs with likeminded temperaments and energy levels and boosting individual dogs confidence with us as their trusted handlers ❤️
