Neo telling his mummy off for laughing at him. Such a vocal big boy ❤
The lovely Cleo barking at her mum Lesley - telling her my ten is ball is in the well - get it for me! X
Today is a very important day for me.
Today marks two years since I said goodbye to my best friend - my Rottweiler Riken.
He was with me through some of the darkest moments of my adult life. My constant companion. My friend.
I did this walk as his final walk two years ago - now I walk it alone.
Today has been consumed with sadness and grief and an unbearable pain that catches your breath when you allow yourself to remember what you have lost.
Riken is one of the reasons I set up this euthanasia service.
Being a Vet gives me the luxury of being able to treat my own pet. I want to make sure everybody feels in control of their pets goodbye and ensure it is done in such a way that you can look back and smile at how peaceful it was, and how very loved they were.
I was with my boy right up until his last breath as I put him to sleep myself. I miss him so so much and think about him every single day.
Until we meet again, big lad. ❤
Tilly opening her Christmas presents (she opened all her own).
Video kindly shared by her dad Lee.

The beautiful Isis - now at peace.
Loved and missed by mum Natalie, younger sisters Simone, Sophia and Rose ❤
Beautiful Bobby getting the bed just how he wants it before lying down comfortable ❤
This beautiful girl was Willow a 14 year old cat.
Willow sadly had a very aggressive ear tumour.
Her mum and dad had her from 8 weeks old.
She was named Willow after her colouring.
Willow was their third cat and they had always had boy cats.
When they went to get Willow they wanted a boy but the breeder gave them his twin which was a girl! So they had their first femae cat and have never looked back.
Willow was quite a fractious cat and so we needed sedation to settle her.
She passed peacefully on the sofa with her dad Karl holding her paw and Jo her mum ❤
A few videos of the gorgeous Doug the Rottweiler, showing the truly goofy, gentle nature of the breed. Vicki sent these to me to cheer me up as it’s recently been my own boys birthday who is no longer here. ❤
This dude was Paddy.
He was a feral stray so we are unsure of his true age.
He had a big puffy Tom cat face with big jowls.
He took a long time to trust and his journey with his mum Sheree started from the cat hut in the garden but for the last 3 years he has lived with Sheree and her family. Paddy chose her.
Paddy got his name as when he first ventured into the cat hut for shelter - Sheree said to her partner “there’s a tabby in the hut in the garden” and her partner had misheard and thought she said ”there’s a paddy in the garden” and so he was named Paddy ❤
Sadly he was FIV positive (the cat equivalent of human AIDS virus). His mum did everything possible to help him fighting and keep him comfortable.
Sadly with no immune system to help him fight infection and disease - Paddy developed a very poorly foot that couldn’t be fixed. He was in pain.
His mum refused to let him struggle anymore and booked a home goodbye.
He passed peacefully at home with all his family around him
❤
RIP Paddy
This beautiful but very on her terms queen was Tink.
She cruelly developed stage 3 kidney disease at only 8 years old. Too young.
Her wonderful mums refused to let her suffer and decided to say goodbye on a better day knowing her road ahead.
As Tink was quite skittish she needed a smidge of sedation to take the edge off. She went to sleep in her mums arms and she was the last thing she’d heard, smelt and felt before she passed away. Very peacefully at home.
She leaves her equally gorgeous black cat sister Daisy-Rae (who was very intrigued with my vet box and happily finished off the lick it treat that Tink left).
❤
People think black cats are bad luck but I think they are the best and bring good luck!
Run free Tink.
