We're getting there!

The bunnies and guineapigs are now back outside with Oati the quail. More runs will go up so they have more space but so far so good and they're loving it!

Due to the storm destroying parts of the chicken coops, runs and making the ground horrendous to walk on, I'm putting a plea out for any coops, sheds and hardcore/sand/gravel/woodchip to help house the chickens again as they are all now having to sleep in the stables so they are safe. We will soon have new fencing for the runs but need new coops (bigger the better but we'll take anything atm!)

We have a PayPal where people can donate towards buying coops and building supplies to make their homes again but I'm also wondering if anybody would have a spare coop sitting in their garden that would be amazing for our birds here.

Any help would be appreciated and updates of them in their new houses will be posted 💕 please share

To all our followers,
I'd like to apologise for not posting. Unfortunately my health hasn't been too well and stress hasn't been making it any better but we're getting there. Myself and the animals are looking forward to the summer when we can get loads more done to the sanctuary such as upgrading their housing and enclosures and just genuinely feeling better!

I started out as Greenacres Animal sanctuary but closed the page due to mental health and struggling to run the page and the sanctuary all at once. I decided to make this page to follow the animals adventure in life as they are still here.

Unfortunately the big girls, hyacinth, petunia, daisy and Rosie are moving house due to my health and funding as everything is coming out of my pocket and family who also help. Its the best option for all involved.

However, We do have big plans for the future like using the old fencing to upgrade the now destroyed chicken enclosures, improving the ducks pond, building another pond, making a nice hard standing yard for the ponies and even a sitting area for anyone who comes to visit in the summer.

Sometimes it feels like the world is working against us and it's hard when that happens but you have a lot of animals that depend on you but you just want to hide away from everything.

I'm now going to be running this page for people to see the animals and their weird antics they get up to.

3 of our new residents. All rescued by a kind lady but unfortunately she needed to rehome them due to lack of time. They're amazingly friendly bunnies 💕

This is Oatcake, aka Oati (Oati McOatcake)

Oati lived with numerous other male quails, that if they weren't rehomed, were going to be 'culled' because they do not produce eggs.
When I heard about Oati I instantly took him under my care. He now lives here where he makes every day brighter when he talks to us and runs around like a busy business man.

Quails are amazing, interesting little birds that have the sweetest personalities. They make the most unique friends. Oati reminds me everyday that even such a small bird, can fill such a big portion of my heart
