One of our big girls showing off her awesome ❤️ pattern! Zhuri is a salmon boa aged around 6 years old, sadly she was very neglected in her past life and had to be treated for excessive burns and malnutrition. We also had to work very hard on training her to be handled again as she hadn’t been held or had contact with a human for years!
As you can see Zhuri has done a full 360 and healed completely 🥰

Super proud of Zodiac the Hognose’s progress, after being lost for 3 months she has gained an impressive amount of weight and not missing a feed so far 😁 She is such a character 🥰

We ordered a mystery box online from Portsmouth Tarantulas and what an amazing surprise that was! We received some beautiful spiders 😍

Including….
🕷A Mexican Red Rump (Tliltocatl Vagans) who we named Vortex
🕷A Costa Rican Tiger Rump (Davus Fasciatus) who we named Lava
🕷An American Curtain Web (Linothele Sericata) who we named Scorpio
🕷A Brazilian Red and White (Nhandu Chromatus) we named Skellington (obviously from Nightmare Before Christmas 💀🤣)!

We will definitely be ordering again and highly recommend 😁 Thank you!

This is Felix one of our many bearded dragons. He was a rescue that come to us just over a year ago. He is now thriving. He was playing fetch with his food earlier. I would Chuck it and he would chase after it 😂😂😂

Feeding day at the zoo this is Pickle (green) and Pokey (strawberry) the pac-man (horned) frogs 🐸
They’re funny little creatures who love to sit in a hole in their substrate and then when they get bored make another hole to sit it!

So today was misting day (to help keep the humidity right) for all the snakes. While I was doing this we had 2 that wanted to escape their tanks 🤣 our big girl Zahara and big boy Rocky. Fun times trying to keep them in while spraying the tanks down 🥰

Meet Toffee one of our royal pythons, he is an champagne enchi and absolutely stunning 🤩😍

Toffee came to us a little bit podgey so we had him on a diet. Then he decided to go on hunger strike over the breeding season which, unfortunately, resulted in us having to force feed him because he was losing too much weight 😩 However after a few months, last week Toffee decided to eat on his own 💪🏻😁

Our recent mission was building this tank from scratch for this very special and handsome guy, Mr Grumpy 🦎🤩

You can see step to step how we have created this vivarium to specially suit our latest addition! It’s been hard work but so rewarding and he is settling in very well which makes it all worth it 😁

Spider warning! 🕷

This is Quartz our Antilles Pink Toe Tarantula (Caribena versicolor)! 🤩
She had made a beautiful silk web to safely moult in a week ago and she was ready to leave to show off her stunning new skin and colours today 😍 She has the potential of reaching 15cm and showing a variety of colours including pink, red, purple, green and blue!

Spider warning!! 🕷

This is Amethyst our Cyriopagopus sp. Hati Hati-Purple Earth Tiger and Onyx our tiny baby jumping spider!
Amethyst is a hiding type tarantula so we don’t see her often but I needed to check her and clean her out. She has the potential of reaching 13-15cm and is very aggressive (with quite a bite!) so she isn’t handled just looked at 😍
Onyx has tripled in size since we got them and enjoys a fly every other day 🦟 they will reach about 15-18mm so they stay very small and only live a year or two!

Meet Zirconia our baby salmon boa! 😍
This little girl came to us in a bit of a state- very dehydrated and underweight, very aggressive and stuck shed. The first month was the hardest with constant bathing, soaking and force feeding but she instantly brightened back to health. She now eats consistently, sheds all in one and is bright and beautiful. Zirconia still isn’t a massive fan of people but she is still slowly improving and allows me to take her out of her vivarium and handle her without hissing or striking at me! I am still shocked at how big and chunky she is now compared to when we picked her up, she has the potiental of reaching 11-12ft! 🤩🐍
1st picture is a comparison of her the day we got her to a week after, the rest of the pictures were taken today!

This stunning little girl decided to take herself off on an adventure for a few months around the house 🏡 😩 Meet Zodiac our little hognose!
Luckily we found her a couple weeks ago and it was a bit touch and go with how thin and frail she was…. But she had regular soaks in reptoboost (essentially an energy drink for reptiles!) and started eating immediately so she’s getting stronger each day 💪🏻😁 Extremely happy with how she’s bouncing back and being as sassy as ever 🐍

These are three of our beautiful crested geckos. Fun fact, geckos don’t have eyelids and lick their eyes to keep them moist! 👀

We took Galaxy, Tom and Jerry on over the past year from people who could no longer care for them. They love exploring their tanks and love coming out to say hello! Although Tom can be a bit fiesty when she wants to be and I may have been bitten a few times… 😅 But they are all doing very well and slowly gaining weight and love it when being sprayed down as they catch the water droplets with their tongue! 🦎

Toby the tortoise enjoying her beautiful dandelions this afternoon that were picked specially for her by little Florence. She says thank you very much they where very yummy 🐢❤️

Toby was a bit of a random rescue we got who was originally male and unfortunately suffers with having one eye and MBD (metabolic bone disease) which makes her bones very soft and shortens her life, it also resulted in her pelvis collapsing (you may notice the odd shape shell!) and her being much smaller than an average female of her approximate age. This was caused by incorrect and insufficient care mainly from lack of UVB and calcium/vitamins. This is incurable and can be painful but we can make sure Toby lives her best life with extra needs including the correct set up, food and supplements as well as regular vet trips to make sure she isn’t suffering too much!

This is Mercury our ackie monitor we rescued a few months ago! He is doing really well and putting on weight slowly (as you can see he enjoys his scrambled egg!) but struggling with his shedding still 🦎

Our latest addition that joined us yesterday! This is Rocky a boa constrictor, he is around 8-10 years old and about 8.5ft which is big for a male! As you can see he is settling in very well 😁 He was previously obese and has lost a lot of weight which resulted in him having baggy skin and “fat rolls” but that just gives him extra character🥰

Welcome to Jarre’s Crazy House Of Reptiles! We have been rehoming and rescuing a variety of reptiles for the past few years now. We have 10+ years of reptile experience between us and have a lot of knowledge we want to share. We receive reptiles in all shapes, sizes and conditions and some are on deaths door and sadly pass but others we manage to get back to health! We believe every reptile should be given a second chance and that’s what we try do.
The point of this page is to show off the wonderful reptiles we have as well as providing a place for people to come and ask questions so they are given the correct information.
