Who else enjoyed seeing the mountain rescue dogs at work in Our Man in Italy? 🏔🇮🇹

It was a great demonstration of how what seems like complex training can be made simple with repeat rewarding and positive reinforcement.

By always giving a small reward to a job well done we teach behaviours that our doggies want to do because it is fun and rewarding.

This enthusiastic Border loves his dispenser as it has helped him learn to give back his toys. So, he can keep playing fun games for longer!

Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!

Even at age 14, Jack the Sprollie loves his Treat Easi for learning new (low down😉) agility tricks as well as having fun catching and finding treats.

Positive reinforcement with treats has helped Jack to learn and maintain his great behaviour from puppyhood to now.

However, Jack’s humans had started to give up carrying treats due to the mess and discomfort of wearing pouches on a walk. With Treat Easi though they are able to have more fun and continue to reward Jack’s good behaviour.

We're all very pleased that Search Dog Ted is enjoying his Treat Easi and hope the dispenser and treats help him to learn even more new skills.

I got sent some very tasty treats today along with special pocket sized dispensers that only give me one treat at a time from The Well-Mannered Pet. The treats are less than half a calorie each too so I won't get fat. The dispenser its self is designed to rattle really well and can be used like a clicker for positive reward based training (video in comments). They sent me some extras so I can share them with my trainee dog friends at Northamptonshire Search and Rescue.
