My little poppet Charlie is so much better today. After a night without much sleep (me, not him) he barked for his breakfast (the norm 😆) and whilst still having a stiff neck was so much more chipper. When I arrived home from he was even better and this evening we had a 30 minute walk around the village. He and Ronnie are now snuggled and snoring. Thank goodness. Panic over. ❤️‍🩹

My beautiful boy Charlie woke in pain this morning. I’ve given him some pain relief meds and will see how he goes as he can be rather dramatic. Hopefully a simple pulled muscle. 🥰 this is his favourite dugout in the shade 🥰

Sarah's work is amazing. If you’re looking for something special then she’s your artist! I have a few smaller pieces of Sarah’s work and it’s got such incredible details. She’s a local artist too!

Finished! I’ve loved trying to honour this beautiful soul with his gentle gaze. He’s going to live outside as a memorial so I had to pay careful attention to the materials I used. I worked with a lot of slate which I layered in places to give the piece a 3D feel. The owners have seen photos of the final piece so I can share him with you.

Right, it’s my birthday today and my baby girl turned 18 a couple of days ago so she chose the birthday treat of visiting Jimmy’s Farm (she’s obsessed with the capybaras there!) Big sister is coming too. Twin bro has to work but happy he’s finally found a summer job to save up for uni so he doesn’t mind!

alright lovely nitwits- call for help - we’ve got a couple of gaps for our food + home market on Sunday 1st September and would LOVE a savoury baker / cheese / sausage roll person / food producer!

We’ve got some great traders with booze, drinks n sweet stuff well and truly covered. Plus will be back with her beautiful bao buns - but those of you who came last time may recall she was slammed and sold out early - so we are keen to get more savoury food in the building!!

Hi lovely dog people, I’m wondering if any of you know of a local artist that paints basic watercolours or maybe illustrate or dogs. I’m looking for 4 or 5 small watercolour images to have printed onto small gift cards to send out from my new website. Cost, is of course, important. I’m not looking for detailed images just something featuring Mabel for different occasions such as birthday, get well, new puppy, new home etc. if you could share a link below if you know someone then it’d be very much appreciated! VERY URGENT appeal for a foster home with experience of caring for dogs and cats! Are you the very special person we are seeking? If not, please help spread the word

In a huge departure from the Oldies Club norm, this urgent appeal is for a foster home for a devoted pair made up of Dizzy the Dog and Figaro the Cat!

We must stress that we are purely a dog rescue, but when we learned of Dizzy and Figaro’s plight, and the extremely sad situation their person finds herself in, we just had to try to help. Their person is terminally ill and needs to leave her current home imminently. This leaves Dizzy and Figaro with nowhere to go, unless a rescue place can be found for them 💔

Dizzy the Shih Tzu and Figaro the Cat are both 15 years old and have been together since Figaro was a tiny kitten. Figaro learned the ropes about home life from his best buddy Dizzy. He would be utterly lost without Dizzy, and Dizzy would be completely lost without Figaro. Their poor person cannot bear to think of them being split up 💔

We're looking for a quiet household where Dizzy can be with someone a lot of the time, either with no resident dog or just a small quiet dog, who is okay to be around an elderly cat too.

We are desperately trying our best to help Dizzy, Figaro and their devastated human, and need to find a foster home experienced with both dogs and cats, who is willing to take in this wonderful duo 💞

Dizzy and Figaro are currently in the East Midlands but we would transport them to their new foster home, preferably within 2-3 hours of the East Midlands. Oldies Club will, as always, cover the cost of any medical care Dizzy and Figaro might need while they are in foster for us.

Just a Saint Bernard called Waylon hanging out with a blackbird in the sunshine ☀️
What a pleasure it’s been to do this regal chap’s portrait in mosaic. He’s starting his journey together with a sunflower 🌻 (see yesterday’s post). They’ll be making their way to Colorado this morning. I hope the posties treat them well and that they arrive safe and sound on the other side of the pond. ❤️❤️❤️
