Salt's Helping Hounds Rescue Small, foster based rescue, based in the UK run by a dedicated volunteer team
We do not judge on age, breed and health.

Salt's Helping Hounds Rescue is a small, foster based rescue run by a fabulous team of dedicated volunteers. We are UK based and are lucky enough to have Admin and Volunteers throughout the country. This enables us to find the best homes for our dogs, irrespective of location. Our dedicated team fundraise vigorously and are constantly recruiting foster carers so that we can continue to save the un

derdog. We save the dogs that other's won’t. Before rehoming, our dogs are fully assessed, neutered, vaccinated, microchipiped, wormed and deflead. All adoptions are under Contract and are subject to successful homecheck and adoption donation being paid. Our minimum adoption donation is £250. All our dogs are given full Rescue Backup for the entirety of their lives. Our foster carers are vital to the running of the rescue and receive the full support of the rescue when caring for our dogs. If you would like to become a foster carer, do please get in touch with any of the team.

🐾 Meet Mabel – A Brave Young Soul on Her Journey to a Brighter Future 🐾

Mabel is just 9 months old, and already, she’s had more upheaval than any pup should ever experience. She originally found herself under a rescue and placed in a foster home, but sadly, it wasn’t the right fit for her and they were unable to provide Mabel with what she needed.

That’s where Salt’s Helping Hounds Rescue stepped in when asked—because every dog deserves the right home, not just any home.

It was clear that the best way forward for Mabel was rehabilitation. This would give her the chance to decompress, gain confidence, and allow our team to truly understand her needs. She’s now been in rehab for just over two weeks, and while it’s still early days, we’re already seeing some wonderful progress.

🌟 What We Know About Mabel 🌟

🐕 Minimally dog reactive – Likely due to a lack of socialisation, but this is proving to be very workable with time and patience.
👨‍🦰 A little wary of men – With good reason. Mabel’s second home exposed her to domestic violence, and her previous owner was male. She simply needs time to build trust, and we are already seeing her open up in the right environment.
🍖 Came into our care severely underweight – She’s now on six meals a day to help her gain weight and strength.
🐾 Wobbly back legs – At this stage, it doesn’t appear to be neurological but rather a result of poor nutrition and lack of exercise. With the right care, this should improve.
🧸 Loves her toys – No destructive tendencies at all! She’s even kept her own bed in her kennel, which she adores.
🚶‍♀️ Great on the lead – Though she’s still a baby at heart! She’s cuddly, affectionate, and not yet independent—she likes to stay close, seeking reassurance.
👫 Growing in confidence – When she first arrived, she struggled with multiple people around her. Now, in the paddock, she’s happily interacting with three people at once—a huge step for her!

💔 Her Past 💔
Mabel’s early life was heartbreaking. In her first home, she was forced to fight her parents and siblings for food, and more often than not, she lost. Her "feeding time" consisted of handfuls of kibble thrown on the ground for mum, dad, and five puppies to battle over. 💔

Her second home was no better. She was surrounded by domestic violence, further reinforcing her fear of men. No dog should ever endure this kind of trauma.

💕 Her Future Starts Now – Thanks to Teamwork! 💕
Mabel’s journey to safety wouldn’t have been possible without an incredible team of people working tirelessly behind the scenes.

🙌 Huge thanks to Donna and Bev, whose relentless dedication to fundraising have ensured that Mabel gets everything she needs. Fundraising played a vital role in making this rescue possible, and it’s only because of this collective effort that Mabel has a real chance at a brighter future.

🐶 Ellie and her team at Abbey Boarding Kennels continue to work their magic in rehab, helping Mabel grow in confidence every single day.

🏡 Salt’s Helping Hounds Rescue provides lifelong RBU (Rescue Back-Up), making sure Mabel’s future is never uncertain again.

It takes a village, and Mabel is living proof of what happens when a team of people comes together with one goal—to change a life.

Mabel, you are safe now. You will never have to fight for food, love, or security again. 🏡🐾

To everyone who supports rescue efforts, donates, fundraises, fosters, and spreads awareness—you make this possible. Thank you. ❤️

Stay tuned for updates on Mabel’s journey! ✨

🌟SAGE UPDATE – FROM “UNMANAGEABLE” TO UNSTOPPABLE! 🌟

If you ever needed proof that understanding changes everything, then settle in, because Sage’s story is one you won’t want to miss.

💔 Sage was failed—over and over again. By people. By rescues. By those who should have helped him but instead gave up on him. He was labeled "too difficult," "too much work," and left behind time and time again. No one took the time to see past his chaos, past his frustration, past his desperate need for direction. He wasn’t aggressive. He wasn’t unfixable. He was a dog who had been let down, misunderstood, and written off. And it almost cost him his life.
But not anymore.

Enter Holly, our 21-year-old dog-training powerhouse, who has taken Sage under her wing and turned their relationship into som**hing straight out of a motivational sports movie. Holly doesn’t see a problem dog—she sees an athlete in desperate need of a coach. And Sage? Oh, he adores her. It’s like watching a hyperactive intern finally get noticed by the boss. He’s so eager to impress her, so desperate to be the star pupil, that the minute she gives him direction, he locks in like a missile.

Now, don’t get us wrong—Sage also has a great relationship with Ellie, who has worked with him beautifully, helping him come so far. But there’s no denying that his special bond is with Holly. There’s just som**hing about their dynamic—maybe it’s her energy, maybe it’s her timing, maybe Sage just sees her as the ultimate teacher’s pet and wants extra credit—but whatever it is, it works.

So let’s be honest—Sage can still be a nippy little gremlin when he’s over-excited. Without direction, he’s like a raccoon on crystal m**h, bouncing off the walls, causing chaos, and making decisions that would get him fired from any respectable workplace. But here’s the secret: give him a job to do, and he transforms. No more mayhem, no more mischief—just focus, drive, and determination to make his human proud.

Sage is not a "freework" dog, that to him is basically an all-you-can-eat buffet of bad decisions for Sage. He needs structure, a plan

The transformation is incredible. Cole, Kirsty, and David can all work with him now, as long as they engage him before stepping into his kennel. A few sits, a down, a paw—these little things switch him into work mode, and suddenly, he’s a completely different dog. It’s a HUGE leap from where he was before, and we couldn’t be prouder.

💡 Sage is looking for a very special kind of home—no kids, no other pets, but an active, dedicated person who wants to train, compete, or simply channel his energy in the right direction. He’s not a sofa ornament, but if you want a dog who will give you 110% every single day, Sage might just be your perfect match.

And this video? It doesn’t even show the half of what he can do now. This dog is brilliant. He just needed the right people to see it.

🔥 Watch him work. Watch him thrive. And if you know someone who could be Sage’s person—send them his way.

Clovis – The Comeback Kid We Always Believed In

Rescue is hard. Heartbreaking, soul-crushing, scream-into-a-pillow kind of hard. The dogs who’ve been failed, the humans who let them down, the so-called “trainers” who did more harm than good—it would be easy to throw in the towel. But then… there are moments like this.

This is Clovis. A dog once labelled too dangerous to ever walk. A dog someone, somewhere, decided was beyond help. But look at him now. Look at that waggy tail, those soft ears, that glorious sniffing of all the good sniffs. Clovis isn’t just walking—he’s thriving.

Has it been easy? Not even slightly. There was no magic wand, no overnight transformation, just sheer patience, kindness, and giving him a say in how his story unfolds. He still has a long way to go—public places are a no for now, and he’s still suspicious of the world (understandably so). But here’s the thing: he’s learning to trust. And instead of reacting, he’s learning that his humans have his back.

To the incredible rehab team working with him, we see you. We see the hours, the setbacks, the tiny victories that mean the world. You give dogs like Clovis what they were always owed—a chance. And for that, we are forever grateful.

And to Clovis? Mate, you have an entire army cheering you on. One day, we hope you realise just how special you are. ❤️🐾

🌟 Hi, I’m Merlin! Let Me Work My Magic on You… 🌟

Hello, friends! I’m Merlin, and I’ve got a tale to tell—one of resilience, trust, and a little bit of magic. My journey hasn’t been the smoothest, but thanks to some incredible humans, I’m finally learning that the world isn’t as scary as I once thought.

I’ve made amazing progress! These days, I’m discovering that life is pretty great when people respect my space and let me take things at my own pace. But let’s be crystal clear—I am NOT a fan of other dogs. I tolerate them when I have to, but if they get in my business, I’ll let them know the hard way. I don’t give warning signals, so don’t assume I’m okay just because I seem calm. (One of the stooge dogs learned that the hard way when I nipped his nose. Oops.)

As for humans, I think they’re pretty fantastic—especially the patient, understanding ones. Once I trust you, you’ll see my fun, affectionate side, and trust me, it’s worth the wait!

🐾 A Few Things You Should Know About Me 🐾
🔹 Smart & Curious – I love learning, but fast hand movements? Nope, not a fan.
🔹 Crate-Free Zone – If you think I’m stepping into a crate, think again. I like my freedom, thanks!
🔹 Selective with Men – Most are a bit intimidating, but Cole? He’s my guy. He just gets me!
🔹 Dogs? No, Thanks. – I don’t like them in my space, and I will bite if I can. Don’t test me on this.
🔹 I Need My Space – No chasing, grabbing, or following me around, please. Let me come to you. It’ll be worth it, I promise!

💫 Why I’m a Little Magical 💫
I might need time to warm up, but once I do, I’m as loyal and loving as they come. My rehab team has helped me feel safe and understood, and because of them, I’ve made incredible strides. They say I’m their “good boy” (which, obviously, I am).

🏡 What I’m Looking for in a Forever Home
I need a home where patience is the name of the game. No kids (I startle easily), no rushing me, and no forcing me into uncomfortable situations. I must be the only dog in the home—no exceptions. If you’re kind, understanding, and willing to go at my pace, I’ll reward you with my trust, love, and unwavering loyalty.

Rescue dogs like me aren’t broken—we just need the right person to help us feel safe. Could that be you?

🌟 Hi, I’m Sage! Ready to Meet Your New Best Friend? 🌟

Hey there, I’m Sage! Yep, like the herb, but trust me, I’m way spicier. 😉 What’s your name? Do you like snacks? Belly rubs? Long walks on the beach? Cool, we’re off to a great start because those are my favorite things too! 🐾

🐕 My Story (So Far):
Life’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for me. I’ve had some highs, a few lows, and a ton of learning along the way. Thanks to the superheroes at Salt’s Helping Hounds Rescue, I’ve blossomed into a confident, happy boy with a tail that just doesn’t quit wagging. Now, I’m on the hunt for som**hing truly special—my forever family. Could it be you?

💛 Why I’m One in a Million:
I’m a big boy with a heart to match, looking for someone who understands that I thrive with structure, consistency, and love. In return, I’ll bring you loyalty, laughter, and plenty of goofy moments you’ll never forget.
Here’s what I bring to the table:
* Super Smart: Give me clear instructions, and I’ll follow them like a pro.
* Eager to Please: I want to be the best boy—I just need someone patient to guide me.
* Adventure Buddy: Love structured play, training, or exploring? Me too! Let’s do it together.
* Social Butterfly: I adore humans but need to be your one-and-only pet to really shine.
* Unwavering Loyalty: Once I trust you, I’m yours for life.

🐾 My Quirks (AKA Personality Plus!):
Let’s keep it real—I’m a big, energetic pup who’s still perfecting his impulse control. Sometimes, my enthusiasm gets the better of me. Case in point: the time I “borrowed” a cat bed or grabbed Jessica’s coat after a freedom-field adventure. But hey, I’m a work in progress! With your calm, consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, I’ll channel all that energy into being the best version of me.
Pro Tip: I thrive with:
* Structured play and training.
* Monitored free time.
* Help winding down after all the fun.

🐶 A Big Thanks to My Fan Club!
I’ve got an amazing support crew called Sage’s Salty Saviours—a group of rockstars who help cover my rehab costs. Without them, I wouldn’t be the happy, hopeful dog I am today. Want to join this awesome club? Your kindness helps me and other dogs like me get the second chance we deserve.

💌 Why Forever Matters:
After everything I’ve been through, I dream of finding a family who’ll believe in me, just like my rescue team has. With their ongoing support, I know we can create som**hing magical together.
The Details:
* Age: 2 years
* Breed: Crossbreed
* S*x: Male
* Neutered: Yes
* Dogs/Cats: Best as your only pet
* Kids: Dog-savvy teens (16+)

For Derek

A year ago, you came to be,
A soul in need, so wild, yet free.
With hearts wide open, love poured in,
To help the dog you were within.

Through gentle hands, your spirit grew,
The world saw life and joy in you.
A do**us, charming, bold, and kind,
A truer friend, we’d never find.

But as the seasons changed their pace,
A shadow fell, a slower race.
Despite the care, the love, the fight,
Your star dimmed softly, lost its light.

With tender hands and whispered sound,
We held you close, love all around.
A kiss to send you on your way,
To Rainbow Bridge, where now you play.

Derek, sweet boy, forever more,
You’ll run through fields on heaven’s shore.
Your pawprints left on every heart,
A bond unbroken, though we part.

So, run free now, beyond the sky,
A cherished soul, you’ll never die.
In every laugh, in every tear,
Your memory stays ever near 💔🐾🌈

A Woof from Enzo 🐾

Hey hoomans, it’s me, Enzo! Your resident rehab rockstar and snack enthusiast. I’ve got som**hing important to bark about, so paws up and listen closely.

Salt’s Helping Hounds can’t rehome dogs that are, what you call, “banned breeds.” Why? Because it’s ILLEGAL. And while I may have perfected my “innocent puppy eyes,” even I can’t charm our way out of the law. Breaking the rules would put ALL of us rescue dogs at risk, and that’s not fair.

So here’s the deal: please stop popping into our posts asking if a dog is “Type.” We’re here to find happy, legal homes for every doggie, not play Detective Dog Breed. Trust me, the hoomans here know what they’re doing.

Let’s keep things pawsitive so Salt’s Helping Hounds can keep saving lives—including mine! Thank you for understanding, and remember: adopt responsibly, love endlessly, and always bring treats when you visit. 🦴

Woofs and wags,
Enzo 🐕 (The Goodest Boy in Rehab)

Hey everyone, it’s me, Enzo! 🐾

I’m here to tell you two things: one, I’m still dreaming of a warm, comfy sofa before Christmas; and two, I’ve been VERY good this year. Like, "deserves-all-the-treats-and-a-gold-star" good. So, obviously, I’m making sure Santa Paws knows it too. My rescue crew is already drafting a letter to the big guy in the North Pole (paw-written, of course), so he doesn’t miss a single detail about how much of a top-tier good boy I’ve been.
But let’s rewind and talk about how far I’ve come!

My Journey So Far
Before the amazing humans at Salt’s Helping Hounds and Save Our Seized Dogs swooped in, life was, well… ruff. I spent most of my days crammed in a crate, surrounded by other dogs just as scared and confused as me. It was loud, chaotic, and I didn’t even know what safety felt like.
Then one day, like a fairy tale (minus the glass slipper), these wonderful folks gave me a second chance. They whisked me off to doggie rehab paradise, where love, kindness, and patience are the daily specials. And while I was too scared to smile for the camera back then, now I’ve got my cheesy grin down pat. (Seriously, check out my pics. Total heart-melter, right?)
I’m learning how to play, trust, and—best of all—be a dog again. It’s like discovering I’m secretly pawsome!

A Little About Me
Pros:
* I’m a certified lovebug and want nothing more than to please my humans.
* I’m food and toy-motivated—give me a treat or a squeaky, and I’ll move mountains.
* I know some basic commands because, yes, I’m a clever clogs.
Cons (if you can even call them that):
* I’ve got a wheat allergy, so pizza crusts are off-limits (tragic, I know).
* I don’t really vibe with other animals, but I can walk past them without causing a scene.
* I’m a bit clingy. I’ve been left before, and I don’t want it to happen again.
Oh, and I’m afraid of the dark. Don’t judge! The humans here sorted me out with a nightlight, and it’s honestly the best invention ever. What’s a rescue dog without a glowing beacon of safety, right?

About My Santa Paws Wish List 🎅🐾
This year, my big ask is simple: a forever family who understands me and loves me, quirks and all. But while I’m waiting for that magical moment, my rescue pals are hoping to make Christmas extra special for all of us dogs in their care.

Want to help Santa Paws deliver the goods? If you can spare a few pennies for some Christmas goodies, we’d be forever grateful. Here’s how you can help:
* PayPal: [email protected]

* Sort Code: 40-41-59
* Account No: 80003166

Even a small donation can help fill our stockings with treats, toys, and maybe even a new squeaky or two (just saying, Santa).
Want to Be My Forever Human?

If you’re up for the challenge of loving a quirky, slightly clingy, toy-loving cuddle monster like me, here’s the deal:
* No other pets (I’m enough, trust me).
* Dog-savvy kids aged 14+ (because I’m all about calm vibes).
* Patience, structure, and lots of love required!
You’ll also need to come visit me here in North Lincolnshire for some meet-and-greets. I need to make sure you’re my kind of people, you know?

🌨️🐾 Groot’s Winter Diaries: The Tale of the Fluffy Cold Stuff 🐾🌨️

Hello, hoomans! It’s me, Groot, the doggo formerly known as “What-On-Earth-Is-That-Loud-Thing.” I’m currently standing majestically on my sofa (yes, my sofa) staring out the window at the strange, fluffy, cold wetness falling from the sky. Mom says it’s called “snow,” but I’m convinced it’s sky dandruff. Whatever it is, it’s everywhere, and I don’t trust it.

I’m doing really well in my foster-to-forever home. I’ve been working hard to show my new Mom all my adorable quirks. She says I’m “not perfect,” but we both know that’s a lie because look at me. 😘

For example, last week, I gave Mom one of my signature loving looks—you know, the kind that melts hearts and gets extra treats. She was all, “Oh, Groot, you’re such a sweet boy!” And just as she was basking in the glow of my affection, I felt a rumble in my tummy. Next thing you know… waddle waddle. Yep. Right there on the floor. I thought it was a bonding moment. Mom thought otherwise. But hey, nobody’s perfect, right?

She’s learning to embrace my uniqueness. Like how I feel the need to vigorously alert her every time the postman even thinks about approaching the house. Or how I must investigate every cupboard door she opens. (You never know where she might be hiding the snacks.)

And let’s talk about my expert couch-sitting skills. I’ve mastered the “regal perch,” where I stare out the window, pretending I’m the king of the neighborhood. Today, as the sky dandruff fell, I barked at it to let it know who’s boss. (Spoiler: it’s me. Always me.) Mom says I look ridiculous, but I know she secretly admires my bravery.

Mom loves me for all my little quirks. And I love her for understanding that while I might not be the perfect dog, I’m the perfect dog for her. She gives me belly rubs, doesn’t get too mad when I “accidentally” chew a slipper, and even keeps my spot on the sofa warm when I’m out patrolling the garden for imaginary squirrels.

To all the hoomans out there: don’t expect perfection from your pups. Sometimes we’re goofy. Sometimes we’re messy. And sometimes we’re just trying to figure out why the sky is falling. But trust me, the love we give back makes it all worth it.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to give Mom another one of my heartfelt stares—just to keep her on her toes. Who knows what might happen next?

Wags and wiggles,
Groot, King of the Couch 🛋️✨

🎅🐾 A Message from the Dogs of Salt’s Helping Hounds: Santa Paws Needs YOU! 🐾🎅

Hello, hoomans! It’s us—the dogs of Salt’s Helping Hounds Rescue—typing this with our very clever paws (okay, maybe we had a little help). We’ve been talking, and here’s the deal: Christmas is coming, and we’re all wagging our tails about it. But we need your help to make sure Santa Paws has everything he needs to deliver the best Christmas ever to all of us good boys and girls.

See, Santa Paws is super busy this year. Between sorting treats, wrapping chew toys, and untangling fairy lights from his tail (classic Santa), he’s asked if you wonderful hoomans could lend him a helping paw.

Why We Need Your Pennies (Not Your Stuffies)
Here’s the thing: a lot of us have special needs. Some of us have delicate tummies that can’t handle just any old treat (we’re looking at you, rich festive snacks), and others have jaws that laugh in the face of flimsy toys. We’re talking “instant stuffing explosion” level destruction here.

To make sure we get the right goodies—like tummy-friendly treats and toys that can survive our enthusiasm—we’re asking for donations instead of actual items. Think of it like this: you’re outsourcing the shopping to our amazing humans, who know exactly what each of us needs.

How You Can Help (And Make Santa Paws Proud)
If you’d like to be part of our Christmas miracle, here’s how you can donate your pennies:

PayPal: [email protected]
Bank Details:

Salt’s Helping Hounds
HSBC
Sort Code: 40-41-59
Account No: 80003166
Reference: Santa Paws

Every penny goes toward making sure we all get our own special Christmas box—filled with the perfect mix of love, treats, and indestructible toys.

A Special Request from Us Dogs 🐾
Please share this post with your friends, family, and anyone who’s ever said, “Who’s a good boy?” (Spoiler: It’s us.) Let’s get everyone involved so Santa Paws doesn’t feel overwhelmed and forget to pack the Bonios.

Why You Should Help (Besides the Tail Wags)
Because we’ve been good all year, that’s why! Well, mostly good. Maybe a shoe got chewed here or there, but c’mon, no one’s perfect. Plus, there’s no better feeling than knowing you’ve helped make a rescue dog feel loved and special.

So, dig into those treat jars—uh, wallets—and send a little Christmas cheer our way. And if you donate, drop a comment below and tell us which of Santa Paws’ reindeer is your favorite. (We’re team Dasher, because… speed. 🐕💨)

Thank you, hoomans—you’re all pawsitively amazing! Now, we’re off to practice our “surprised and delighted” faces for Christmas morning. 🎁✨

Wags and slobbery kisses,
The Salt’s Helping Hounds Pack 🐾

If you’ve got a soft spot for underdogs (or just like the idea of a giant ball of fur with a talent for comedic timing), sit down, grab a biscuit for yourself—and maybe one for me too—and let me tell you my story. Spoiler: it’s got more twists than a Netflix thriller.

Once upon a time, I was standing outside a vet’s, shaking like a soggy leaf in the wind, my nerves in shambles. I’d been carted around in a van from Scotland and back again with no rest, no peace, and no clue what was going on. Then, I overheard those words. You know, the ones no dog wants to hear: put to sleep.

Now, I wasn’t aggressive, I wasn’t destructive—I was just scared. But apparently, scared dogs don’t make the cut. My heart was sinking faster than a treat dropped in a puddle. I thought, Well, this is it. Derek’s done for.

But then, out of nowhere, a lovely human swooped in, cape and all (okay, no cape, but the vibe was there). She said, “This dog deserves a chance!” And just like that, I was handed over to the absolute legends at Save Our Seized Dogs and Salt’s Helping Hounds Rescue.

From that moment, they made me a promise: no matter how long it took, I’d get all the time and care I needed to recover because I’m worth it. (Yes, like the L’Oréal ad, but with extra fur.)

Welcome to Rehab, Derek Style:
They brought me to Abbey Boarding Kennels, which is basically a spa retreat for traumatized pups like me. Think five-star service with gourmet kibble and emotional support on tap. The team there? Let’s just say they’ve got the patience of saints and the persistence of a dog with a bone.

Nighttime Musings of a Dashing Dog
For those of you who don’t already know, I am a dog of particular tastes and high standards.
Let’s talk about my most pressing need: my night light. Yes, you heard that correctly. I, Derek, am not a fan of the dark. It’s creepy, full of suspicious shadows, and frankly, not my vibe. That’s why I require a warm, soothing glow to guide me through the treacherous hours of the night. It’s not just a luxury—it’s a necessity.
Now, let me tell you what happens if my night light dares to betray me by going out. I let my staff know immediately. No passive-aggressive pawing or subtle whimpers for me, oh no. I unleash my voice. Picture the haunting howl of a lone wolf on a full moon night—only with more flair and higher stakes.
It’s not whining; it’s art. A performance. A full-blown Derek production. I won’t rest until my demands are met, and trust me, my staff knows better than to keep me waiting. They scramble to fix the issue, and rightly so—this is serious business!

Of course, some might think I’m being dramatic. To them, I say: Would YOU want to sleep in total darkness with who-knows-what lurking about? Exactly.
When my night light is restored, I settle back down, my dignity intact, my quarters properly illuminated, and my staff quietly marveling at my resilience. They love me for it, really. Who wouldn’t?
Life as a distinguished gentleman like myself isn’t easy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. A little howling, a lot of love, and a perfectly timed spotlight—because every Derek deserves his stage.

I won’t lie—I came with some quirks. I’m a busybody, prone to running at full speed toward anything that moves. At 53kg, that’s less “cute doggy greeting” and more “freight train arriving at platform YOU.” But my rehab humans? They’ve taken it all in stride.
Oh, and then there’s my accessory game: the muzzle. Some dogs might find it embarrassing, but me? I rock it like a runway model. It keeps everyone safe and makes me look ruggedly handsome.

The Lumps, Bumps, and Belly Rubs:
Now, let’s address the elephant (or, in this case, the 53kg dog) in the room: I’ve got some lumps and bumps that are being investigated. My team’s on it like hounds on a scent trail, so no need to worry—I'm in the best hands. While I’m not quite ready for my forever home, my rehab crew is making sure my life is awesome in the meantime. Honestly, they love me so much I might never leave (just kidding… maybe).

A Little Drama, a Lot of Love:
Oh, did I mention someone once reported me as a banned breed? Me! Banned! As if this giant fluffball is anything other than a big softie. The humans sorted it all out (spoiler: I’m not banned—just misunderstood).
These days, my humans are helping me learn to trust again. It’s not a sprint; it’s a marathon. But here’s the thing—they’re with me for the long haul, and they never give up. I’ve got my quirks, my anxieties, and my ahem overly enthusiastic greetings, but they’ve shown me that I matter.

How You Can Help:
The truth is, all of this—my rehab, the vet care, the fancy kibble—takes resources. And that’s where you come in. If you’ve got a few coins rattling around, why not donate? Every little bit helps keep dogs like me safe, fed, and loved.
Donate via PayPal: [email protected]Bank Transfer (Salt’s Helping Hounds):HSBCSort Code: 40-41-59Account No: 80003166

Thank you for giving me—and dogs like me—a shot at life. Because of you, my tail wags, my belly gets rubs, and my future looks brighter than a muzzle on a sunny day.
