ownership meaning right of possessing something.
A New puppy.. For me this is the start of forming an unbreakable bond of friendship built on mutual respect.
It is not about owning or possessing a dog, which behaves or looks a certain way or even what tricks he can perform in front of your friends, it much more than that! It doesn’t involve pressure or coercion, it’s a connection, they are valued part of a family, which is built on a sense of security, happiness, pleasure and love in partnership! This can be achieved by allowing choices and allowing your dog to be an individual and have preferences, with gentle pressure free guidance.
I am a firm believer a dog should be valued as an individual. They have life experiences and emotions which contribute towards their behaviour.
Ownership is so much more. I like to think owning a dog is a partnership built on respect for each other, filled with love, choices, and happy times in a home of safety and comfort. When searching for a dog, it should be exciting for the whole family. For me as breeder it can be a little scary but equally rewarding placing the puppies happiness into the palms of another family.
