At RCD Equine Services, we can help you with that! With various packages that can be tailored to your and your horse’s needs, you can go away with peace of mind that your horse is being cared for. From all basic aspects of care and 2 daily visits from £30, you can trust that your horse is being attentively looked after (and can receive photos daily to relieve that extra worry!).

⏰Don't forget the clocks go back tonight - bringing evening chores in the dark and head torches all round.

Lots of grooms find the winter months and the changing light a challenge to deal with; remember it won't last forever!!

❗Although you still spend a lot of time outside, winter means a lot less exposure to sunlight. Maybe consider a Vitamin D supplement to keep you on track.

RCD Equine Services will soon be available for clipping services 💇🏽‍♀️

👉Love it or hate it, clipping season is here again... We collected some advice from BGA members to help you achieve that perfectly smooth finish.

✅Preparation is key - sharp and correctly tensioned blades are vital, and the horse must be clean. Ideally they should be bathed the day before clipping.

✅Clip in a flat, well lit area. If the horse is nervous have someone stand with them, and if necessary get the vet to sedate. A bad clipping experience can be very dangerous for you, and make the horse very difficult to clip in the future.

✅Consider wearing a hard hat, especially if clipping a nervous horse.

✅After clipping hot cloth the horse to remove oil and clippings. Rug appropriately to the weather.

✅Clean and oil the clippers and blades so they are ready for the next clip.

🐴 (almost) No Pony Too Small! 🐴

Have a pony that’s turning into a field ornament? A child’s pony left to sit a little too long? Tricky, quirky, or just green? A pony that just needs a little more work?

With a small 5’2 frame and weighing just under 8st, there’s almost no pony too small for me 🏇🏼

One client’s pony used to enjoy back to back rears and flying bucks just four months ago, now his main jockey is just turned 1!
