Here’s Dylan with his foraging bag. Dylan has a spinal injury and has limited use of his back end however that doesn’t stop him living life to the full and enjoying his PickPocket Foragers. Great to see how the foraging bag encourages him to use his back end. Go Dylan! We love you! 🥰
Super video showing how these foraging bags can help reduce arousal levels. This dog has a history of using the foraging bag in the house meaing that a positive conditioned emotional response is already created with foraging. This makes it much easier to use the foraging bag for behaviour modification. If the first time you introduce a PickPocket Forager is for stopping unwanted behaviour (such as barking), you risk your dog’s arousal levels being too high to forage and/or sensitising your dog to the forager (especially if it’s for separation anxiety). Always introduce foraging in a comfortable environment first before using it as a tool to modify behaviour. :-)

"Anyway on a happy note, we owe you and Mary Hunter a huge thank you! I'm not sure if you know that Kayla was struggling with car anxiety? Only when going from home; it's got worse over the years as she associates the car with veterinary appointments. 🙁 She becomes distressed to the point of shaking and is too over threshold to even take a treat. We have tried all the usual things, she has a bed raised on foam to cushion movement and bumps, is on the back seat secured in a harness with an attachment fitted to ISOFIX points. Most days Kayla goes for walks from the car after a short drive (she doesn't tolerate walking on hard surfaces so we have to drive to her walks). She often has meals in the car but none of that made any difference. She is absolutely fine getting back in after a walk. Mary's session in the Canine Enrichment Summit made me re-evaluate the situation. Kayla has developed a very useful enrichment toy habit 🙂 so I started putting one of your pouches with a beanbag inside and a few treats ready on her bed in the car before lifting her in. Of course she dived straight into it! We did this 3 days running, by day 4 she was no longer shaking! 😱 Day 5, we had to go to the referral hospital and unfortunately she had to be starved. I was expecting the shaking and although she was a bit anxious, she wasn't shaking. Day 6 she was a bit anxious but dived into her pouch and quickly forgot about being anxious! I am absolutely delighted!"
