☀️Summer Camp 2023☀️

We currently have 3 spaces left for our yearly camp held at Boomerang Stables from 7th-9th of July

Attendees will have the option of dressage, showjumping and XC disciplines ranging from all levels and abilities over the first two days and the last day will be runned as a small competition putting in practice everything that has been learned.

We also offer stabling, daily meals with a BBQ and a party in the evening for everybody staying over.

Nice weekend jumping at David Broome event Center for our first stay away show of the year.
5 year old Norahs Makutu jumped some really nice educational rounds getting stronger and stronger every show while Jatoba on his first show since last year jumped foot perfect for a 4th and a 3rd on his classes.

Now back home getting ready for Bicton in a few weeks time

Come practice your skills over a full course of jumps on this show simulator!
Each session will start with a basic warm up over a couple jumps and a prep talk on how to best ride your course followed by 2-3 attempts of the full course and talks in between.
Lessons will range from pole on the ground up to 1,10+ with the maximum of 3 riders per group.

Posted • EXCITING COMBINED TRAINING OPPORTUNITY!

Project Pony has partnered with West Wilts Equestrian Centre to offer pony riders the chance to compete at an exciting combined training event.

On Wednesday 12th April West Wilts will be putting on the Project Pony 2* Combined Training Competition. There will be two classes on offer, both starting with the 2*B dressage test, with one then followed by 100/105 show jumping and the other by 110 show jumping. These classes are specifically designed for ponies and as such the show jumping courses will be built on pony distances.

Whether this is early preparation for the British Pony Championship at or just a chance to test yourself at these levels as you look ahead to the rest of the season, we hope that a number of pony riders will find this opportunity useful. We are also pleased to confirm that Project Pony show jumping coach will be there on the day to offer help and advice to riders. West Wilts will be able to offer on site stabling for anyone considering travelling from further afield.

This event will be run alongside a combined training opportunity for 5* combinations heading to Badminton and Kentucky, so as an added bonus you might find yourself rubbing shoulders with some of the stars of the eventing world as they go through their final preparations for two of the biggest events in the sport!

This event is open to all and you will be able to make entries on the West Wilts website (www.westwilts.com) from early next week.

Posted • 2023 started with a bang for Project Pony with 15 riders joining us for a two day training camp at . We were lucky enough to be able to provide two days of the highest quality dressage training from and jump training with (including a course walking masterclass with Bruno), two of the best coaches around and both now firmly part of Project Pony. Out of the saddle, riders had group and individual sessions with Jenna Woolven (a leading sport psychologist and performance consultant www.mindmattersconsulting.co.uk) giving an insight into the importance of a balanced mindset  as well as (Chef D’Equipe across GB youth dressage teams) providing media training with a focus on the value of learning to talk and work with owners, sponsors and the press, as well as the opportunities and challenges that come with using social media. Feedback was hugely positive and we are excited about continuing to work with them both. It was fantastic to see the riders throwing themselves into everything on offer and most importantly having so much fun and all getting on so well together. A huge thank you to everyone who made the two days possible, all for being such amazing hosts, the coaches for top class training, the experts for being trail blazers in our desire to offer young riders opportunities to develop a wider range of skills helping them beyond their equestrian ambitions, parents and support teams and of course the PONIES who make it all possible! We will now focus on the rest of 2023 and on ways we can continue to help not just the riders on our ponies or ones we are already working with but the wider eventing community and all it has to offer the young pony riders out there. We are not the answer to everything and can only do so much, however we are certainly very willing to try and do our bit for the sport we all love so much.
