Perhaps we should have called Cadet 'Cobweb'.

A busy little spider must have thought her nostril was a good place to weave their web whilst Cadet was sleeping. Sadly for the wee spider, no flies were caught in this one.

Anyhow, how fabulous is this young filly. She's such a pleasant 'person'. She's also pretty smart: humans = scratches + they're brilliant for rubbing against to dry off a wet coat!

A day one fail 🤭

When you're a new foal, getting used to your legs takes a little time - especially when they're so long.

We have a feeling this young lady is going to be a bit of a diva, just look at the strop at the end of the video 😆

Do you think the big horses in the field have seen a speedy Highland before?

Lovely Birdy is such a great teacher for the small Heald Town human. She might have thrown in a cheeky buck to make sure the jockey is awake - but she's always completely unflappable.

You can't beat a good Highland, not that we're biased of course 😉

𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲... Fully registered 2 year old filly, Heald Town Marie Curie - Glenmuick of Coynach (S. Stone Roses na Dailach) x Blar Bheag Crunluath (S. Just William of Tormore).

Marie (pronounced Marry) is a very pretty filly, with lots of hair and a great trainable attitude!

She's friendly and polite and enjoys her 'people time' - especially so when there's a food reward involved.

Marie is a typey filly, she is solid and well put together. She also moves nicely.

Marie is suitable for showing, but the priority is finding a home that will enjoy spending time with her. This filly has a great personality and with it the potential to be a brilliant all-rounder, either for an individual or as a family pony.

We expect Marie to make 13.3 to 14hh at maturity. She looks dark bay in colour on her video, but she does have white flecks in her coat, and she will eventually go grey.

Sire and dam photos will be posted in the comments. She is up to date with worming, vaccinations, and trimming.

We are pricing Marie very sensibly for the right home as we need to reduce our youngstock numbers.

Marie is based at our Cheshire stud (SK10), and viewers are welcomed. References will be required for those who are not well known to us.

Arrival number four...

We are delighted to welcome Bonny's new addition to the herd. A strong, long-legged filly foal.

Bonny had a textbook delivery in the way only she does. As has become usual for her, she told us she wanted to come in by hanging at the field gate. She wandered in, had a feed, and foaled. At the very sociable time of around 10.30am! Good girl Bon Bon.

We generally foal our mares outdoors in the herd, but those who know us well, know that the ponies always have the choice here at Heald Town HQ.

Some mares are much happier foaling in the herd amongst friends, others prefer to come onto the yard to have access to the barn, and Bonny, she just likes to choose her stable.

Anyhow, mum and baby are doing brilliantly, and we are thrilled with them both.

And now we have three...

First time mum, Duchess, is being the perfect mum to her lovely filly foal.

We are so proud of Duchess for taking to motherhood so well. This lass has so much patience. She hasn't had a moments peace since her foal arrived. Hopefully, her soft bed will encourage her to get her head down without the worry of foalie zooming off across the field. We have a feeling this foalie is going to be trouble!

We humans are extra pleased as we've waited a very long time for a Heald Town mouse dun filly foal. Since 2008 to be precise, as this young lady is our first!

What makes this foal even more precious, is that not only is she by Glen, but Ernie is her grandsire.

As his foals have been arriving at Heald Town HQ, the gentleman that is Glen, has been enjoying some leisurely pursuits down the road in Staffordshire.

Here he is with the small Heald Town human on board.
