🐍ADDER ALERT!🐍
Today we came across a dead Adder.
It was quite a pale one so it's easy to see the distinctive diamond/zig-zag pattern along it's back. ❗They can also be very dark brown, almost black, so it can be harder to see the pattern sometimes.
❗Please be vigilant when out walking, whether you're with dogs or not.
❗The dogs might be sniffing at the ground/in long grass/other vegetation more than normal. They might not recall as usual because they're intrigued by something strange. They might paw at the ground/at the snake. They might simply run past, not even noticing it's there!!
❗It's hard to avoid them completely but just be aware of what they look like and what to do if you suspect a dog might have been bitten... 100% GET THEM TO A VET ASAP, EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT CERTAIN THAT THE SNAKE BIT THEM. GET THEM CHECKED.

I want to do a detailed post about the 'sheep proofing' workshop Q-boy and I went on this morning but before I put it together... Here's a cute photo of him being such a good boy! He was so patient, waiting for his turn to meet the sheep, and I've NEVER seen him stand still and wait so quietly. Proud dog mumma today 🤗👏🐑🐾 And after all that mental stimulation, he's been sleeping all afternoon!

MEGA CUTE PUPPY SPAM! This truly adorable, little-legged dude is really coming out of his shell now, especially on walks. He's so much more confident! 👏Kudos to his owners for helping him work slowly but positively towards being a happy, confident sausage👏

It's funny who sits with who in group photos. It makes me think about the school playground and about groups of hormonal teens - like Mean Girls but not as bitchy 😆 I often wonder who (across all my dogs) the cool kids are, the geeks, the jocks, the intro/extroverts, the wannabes, the hippies... Watching the rain roll in over and over again. This week is challenging all of us. The wet, the mud, the sliding around, the showers at the van even though dogs are already soaked, the soggy towels, wet coats and trousers trying so hard to dry in between uses and that smell of CONSTANT damp... But we'll get through it. We always do. *With new gills!!!! 🐟🐾
