💜 Cuteness Alert 💜

While you was all out trick or treating or having a party last night we was rescuing these beautiful 5 babies who appear to have being dumped. We don’t know much about them yet apart from they are aprox 4/5 weeks old and full of fleas.

These babies were left at one of our volunteers homes and obviously we could not turn them away. We will be trying our best to find mum but we don’t think these are feral kittens, last night their foster mummy and daddy gave them a bath and had cuddles with them. They are crying for their mum which shows they should not be away from her.

We say this time and time again there is no reason to dump kittens take them to a vet contact a rescue (yes rescues are bursting but most would try their gos dam best to help rather than see kittens left to die) it’s time we put a stop to dumping animals and realise they have feelings they need us to do what’s right for them.

💜 Nero 💜

Our stunning little black panther Nero hasn’t being well for a few weeks, he’s been to visit the vets a few times where he was given medication etc.

On Sunday evening Nero took a turn for the worst and his foster mummy rushed him straight to the vets where he had a full examination which a lump was found. Nero had a scan to see what was going on inside and the results were not what we wanted to hear.

The scan showed that Nero’a kidneys were very enlarged and also had lumps on his kidneys. Nero was diagnosed with Renal lymphoma and unfortunately he was at the stage where he would not recover.

Between his foster family, our vet and myself we decided to let Nero go to sleep now rather than let him come home and suffer for a few days.

I just want to say a massive thank you to Victor Barnsley Vets4Pets who has being amazing as always and also very caring towards Nero and his foster family. I also want to thank his foster family for all they did for this special boy and a final massive thank you to Karen Wilson who paid Nero’s vet bill, we are so grateful for your support.

Happy Birthday to us. 🎉🎊🎁🐾💜

Where has the time gone, 3 years ago buttons was created after loosing my precious boy. The loss of my boy has meant so many cats and kittens have being saved form a life on the streets and now have amazing homes.

I just want to take this time to thank all of our volunteers, fosters, adopters and supporters. Without your support we would not be where we are today. We also want to thank the business that have supported us, Landon's Diner Mapplewell, Dearne Valley Pet Centre Ltd, WJW Pet Cremation Services, Morrisons Barnsley Community Champion, Cooke’s Pet Supplies, Paws at Peace, PAWS - locally Nah That’s Reyt Good. Jams, Marmalades and Pickles and a massive thank you to all the staff at Barnsley Vets4Pets who are always there for our cats when they need urgent care.

I also want to say another big thank you to our fosters they work so hard with all the cats and kittens and treat them as part of their family and without them we couldn’t help as many cats as we do. Another big thank you to our Queen of Fundraising Beverley Sadler who works so hard to keep the funds coming in so we can feed the cats and keep the vet bills down and a big thank you to our Admin Queen Elizabeth Ann Evans who works so hard trying to keep up with emails and calls, organising home checks and adoptions. We have an amazing team and I honestly couldn’t do it without them.

💜 Ember Update 💜

Our little stunner Ember gave birth to 7 little beauties on 19th September.

Reason for late post is one of her babies wasn’t feeding so he’s was bottle fed, he stayed with Ember and the siblings and Ember would toilet him and wash him. Although he was doing well he started to go down hill Friday and needed oxygen. Just after 12.30am on Saturday little Koby passed away in his foster mums arms.

The other 6 are feeding well and Ember is an amazing mum to all of them as she was to Koby too.

We would just like to ask for all our supporters and adopters to be patient with us with regards to messages emails and calls. All our team are volunteers who also work full time and there is times when we may not get back to people instantly.
