In your Jacksonā€™s UK recipes, the omega 3 supplements are either freshly spun salmon or trout oil ā€“ NO UNIDENTIFIABLEā€˜WHITE FISHā€™!
Omega- 3 fatty acids are very important fats that dogs must get from their diets. However, not all fatty acids are equal. Alpha- linolenic acid (ALA) is an essential fatty acid that the body converts to the longer- chain Omega 3ā€™s called Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
Most pets find it hard to produce EPA with a conversion rate of 10% and DHA even more challenging with less than 1% converted. Fish oils are rich in EPA and DHA. EPA is converted into anti- inflammatory components, which helps to manage inflammation based problems such as joint, coat and bladder diseases. The addition of 2.5% to 3.5% of fresh fish oil can lead to substantial health benefits for cats and dogs. The role of DHA has a more structural role and is found in high concentrations in nerve tissue such as the brain and eyes. Puppies and kittens need EPA, in order to feed their growing brains. At the other end of the spectrum, older pets benefit from DHA, supporting both their aging brains and joints.
Your Jacksonā€™s UK recipes have been formulated with the finest Omega- 3 supplement, derived from freshly spun fish oils. The fish oils used in your recipes are of the highest quality, responsibly sourced and have little to no time to oxidise before being coated on our gently baked kibbles. Omega 3 is added to help support healthy skin and coat, whilst also supporting cognitive and visual development.

Ok, so we couldnā€™t contain these beautiful images anymore! These have been sent to us by the wonderful and her equally fabulous pawrents! Flo has been a Jacksonā€™s UK dog for quite a long time now and SHE LOVES HER FOOD! She has tried so many of our recipes and we are yet to find one that she refuses to eat. Her soft shiny coat, bright eyes and general health all point towards an excellent balanced nutrition that not only suits her, but one that she actually enjoys! We adore Flo and her family and are so very grateful for the wonderful pictures of her lapping up her Jacksonā€™s UK šŸ¤Ž Flo will be testing our new Buffalo recipe in the coming weeks and we canā€™t wait to hear how her refined palate takes to that!

We donā€™t show our own dogs too often here at Jacksonā€™s UK. However, we loved this picture of a very relaxed Pasha, our 11 month old Doberman bitch. Pasha is a European Doberman, my shadow and the love of my life! After spending the whole day playing, walking and training, she tucked in to her favourite dinner (Scottish Salmon Large Breed Puppy) and crashed out! Puppies need a certain amount of energy and a combination of nutrients appropriate to their breed size. We formulate our breed size recipes with this in mind, ensuring that proteins are of excellent quality, vitamins and minerals are at optimum levels for general health and our freshly spun oils (high in omega 3) benefit the skin & coat as well as joints and cognitive function šŸ¾

Meet the newest edition to the Jacksonā€™s UK family, Stella. Stella is a Sable Czech German Shepherd and comes from a long line of high drive dogs that work either in protection or are serving dogs in the police force. Her high energy levels, confidence and intellect mean that Stella need very specific nutrition to ensure that she grows slowly and remains focused for training. Stella is currently eating our large breed puppy Salmon recipe and at 11 weeks, she is absolutely thriving!
