Walking with these Boxers first thing in the morning, running around after deer is asking a bit much of me. Then again there is always the dirty water plunge pool to cool down in!🤣

Collected this little Dachshund puppy today for its new owners. Even though it was a short collection trip it was easy to get quite attached to the little guy. Kept checking out the driver to make sure he was going to the right home.

What a great day for taking the dogs out. Heinz taking stock of the changing weather. I am pleased the ball is orange. Sky spent most of her time face down in the snow. Felix decided to see how she was doing.

All excited about the forecasted snow. This was it in Dibden Woods with Sky the terrier this morning. Still looked wintery with a cold wind. Would have been good with 5 cm of snow.

Had the opportunity on Saturday to go to Somerset and collect this Dubrova Birmans & Cornish Rex kitten. Never thought I would enjoy 6 hours on a motorway so much. The kitten was a good traveller. The weather was sunny and warm. Struggled to turn around and return home.

With no snow capped mountains or glacial lake in the background to frame Atlas I had to settle for him on this hill. With lots and lots of imagination you could think it is not at a muddy Dry Hill near Sevenoaks.😞

Great walk this morning in the foggy woods at Dibden. At least I can still see the dogs.

Walking up towards Sundridge Church this rainy afternoon. Yesterday we had a footpath, today we had a fast flowing river off of the fields.
Looking out over towards Sundridge Church was not as spectacular as my summer post, but the weather and view in the drizzle made for an enjoyable dog walk this afternoon.

Unfortunately there have been quite a few trips to Surrey Pet Crematorium in 2020.
The Tuesday after Christmas, was not a happy time for a family that lost their pet over Christmas.
The Crematorium provides a very caring service for my clients. As usual I was able to collect the ashes the following day, which helps the client to deal with the loss of their pet.
They have a well-kept cemetery for pets that do not go home to their owners.
I had my three cats cremated here because of their great service.

With Christmas coming, no travelling, so none of my cats to visit. What was I going to do to keep occupied? Then these guys all turned up (same place) to look after for 10 days. A bit different to cats, but eyeballing the Iguanas could be fun. (Could not get a picture of the tropical fish, the other 4 turtles and 3 tropical frogs).

It was not enough that the skies were pouring down on our walk at Olbury. Atlas still felt the need to sit in the smelly water for good measure. Thought I would give it a miss myself!

Looks like the walks at Dibden have started to be restricted. Barriers have been constructed to direct walkers to stay on the public paths. Speaking to a logger, it stems mainly from the disregard for safety by some around the logging sites. Rex was not impressed.😤

Oops. This is what happens when you take a dog to the wrong place to walk. I forgot all about the smelly, stagnent pond hidden away on the edge of the field. As you can see, Molly remembered it and this was the result. Wish it had been raining, so she could be self cleaned. She was happy.

One thing that has come from this weird world this year is to look around and listen. In the past, it would have been easy to miss this natural picture while walking our dogs.

With the light misty/ fog this morning, the walk through Dibden Woods had a great autumnal feel to it. I don't usually listen to music, but gave this a try and it just worked perfectly with the woods, mist and dogs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-zKpBLILs8

Went to Chipstead Lake for the first time in months. What a depressing change to a great walk for the dogs. All access has been cut off around all 4 fields. Dogs are not able to go for a swim. All this because the public miss used this area when allowed out. Say no more.
