Stay safe out there, everyone! We had a cat in the garden post-snowfall but it clearly wasn't wearing weather-appropriate footwear and slipped on the path... Oops! 🤭🌨️☃️❄️

None of the dogs I've ever been bitten by would be considered dangerous breeds, and I've never met a staff or bully that wasn't adorably soppy. As a society, we are quick to blame parents for their child's bad behaviour, yet we are fine with blaming dog breeds instead of irresponsible owners. We no longer accept discrimination based on appearance when it comes to people, yet we still do it to dogs. BSL needs to go. Please sign 🐶🐾❤️

We want the Government to repeal the Dangerous Dogs Act and replace it with legislation that focuses on early intervention to prevent dog bites and tackle dog-related issues regardless of breed or type, based solely on their behaviour.

Deepest sympathies to the owners and brother of this beautiful gal, who sadly passed away in a RTA yesterday. Also massive thanks to the members of the local community and volunteers who's swift actions allowed the owners to be identified and informed.
Rest in peace, little fluff 🐾❤️🐈

15/07/2022

Due to the red heat warning and temperature predictions in the mid-30s, unfortunately all jobs including home visits will be cancelled on Monday and Tuesday, because of additional risks associated with travel. A red warning means danger for everyone, so PLEASE be careful out there and stay safe! ☀️🔥🥵⚠️

11/07/2022

Due to extreme temperature predictions it's likely that all walks will be cancelled or, where possible, switched to home visits this week. I will contact everyone daily to confirm. Stay safe out there! ☀️🧊🍦🥵

🐰 Why do rabbits rear up? 🐰

Rearing is a natural behaviour and isn’t necessarily a sign that your rabbit is anxious, but curious.

As very inquisitive creatures, rabbits like to have a nosey around to get a better look at their surroundings, or they simply may want to grab something out of reach.

🐰 Why is rearing important? 🐰

Physically, rearing increases a rabbit’s flexibility and strength, allowing them to move properly. If a rabbit is unable to rear, such as being trapped in a hutch all day, their joints weaken, they can become prone to injury, and they can develop deformities as a result.

Also, the inability to rear is the same as not being able to look out for danger, which to a prey animal can be very stressful!

🐰 How can I encourage rearing? 🐰

To allow your rabbits to rear, first they must have the space. This is why we recommend a minimum enclosure hight of 1m.

Rabbits also like to get the best view possible, so providing multiple platforms with good grip for your rabbits to safely rear on can be greatly beneficial for their wellbeing! This will need to be within a high enclosure.

Service Statement

I have been around cats on and off for most of my life, and I have regular cat-sitting and dog-walking clients. I also have experience with small animals - particularly rabbits, which I have kept since 2011. I do not have much experience with birds or reptiles at present but I take my responsibilities very seriously and am always open to new opportunities!

Initial meet-and-greet sessions with you and your pet(s) are free of charge.

I offer home visits and single client dog-walking sessions – unless requested, I never combine clients into group walks, so you can rest assured that your pet(s) will receive 100% of my attention during our time together.

I do not currently offer overnight stays within client homes as I have my own pets to tend to during this time, although this service may be negotiable if you live in Istead Rise. I also cannot offer a day-care or boarding service within my own home at present - apologies for any inconvenience.
