My ball Orwell, this time has come far too soon and far too suddenly and finding words today has been very hard for me.

I’ve only been part of your life for the last few years but have been blessed with stories, videos and pictures from your entire life. In the relatively short years we had together you have had such an impact on me and I’m so grateful to have been able to call you my boy and my ball.

Watching the bond between you and the man I love has been an absolute honour to witness and you were so lucky to have him and he equally as lucky to have you. You were loved by so many and you loved so many in return. Honestly the quirkiest dog I’ve ever known - how an animal can be so intelligent and so damn stupid at the same time is beyond me 😂

But I bloody loved you for it Orwell.

From giving me tiny bits of non existent stick to throw, losing your head and running the wrong bloody way at the beach, trying to jump in the van with huge sticks, the dainty footed run, bringing friends the largest item you could lift to welcome them, the cockerel noise you made that made me jump out of my skin, the nose nudges, the way you’d lay by the side of my bed with my pyjamas on your head, the way you’d accidently block me in the toilet by laying in front of the door, the way you were so careful around Raife, the brotherly bond you developed with our little Eric and despite a slow acceptance of her, I saw the kisses you gave Xena when no one was watching too.

Everyone believes they have the best dog in the world and no one is wrong - you my friend were the absolute best of the best and we will never forget you, not for a minute 🤍🖤

Sometimes a dog comes into your life at just the right time, slipping into the cracks without you even realizing it. They don’t announce themselves as saviors or miracles—they’re simply there, slowly weaving their way into your routine, your thoughts, your feelings, and your heart. You don’t see it then, but they’re quietly pulling you out of places you thought you’d never escape.

It’s only years later, when you’re looking back, that the clarity hits you. You remember the nights when the world felt too heavy, and they sat beside you—steady and unshaken—keeping you tethered. You see how they filled your days with the kind of simple, unfiltered joy you had long forgotten existed. They didn’t fix everything, but they gave you a reason to keep going—and sometimes, that’s enough. Sometimes, that’s all you need.

And maybe that’s the beauty of it. They don’t try to save you; they just do. In their own gentle way, they become the thing you didn’t know you needed. And long after they’re gone, you realize it wasn’t just luck that they came when they did—it was love, pure and profound, walking into your life when you needed it most. Walking into your life and changing it, as if it was meant to mend and heal everything.

Hello, I’m Georgie

I am a firm believer that dogs are simply the best thing in the world. I understand how difficult it can be to give your dogs the exercise and stimulation they need, whether it's due to work commitments, or there simply not being enough hours in the day.

I know how important it is to feel comfortable when asking someone else to look after your pet and to trust they will be in good hands and even have their funny quirks and traits appreciated and understood - that's where I come in!

I provide dog walking and pet sitting services in Wokingham and surrounding areas. I hold a BSc (Hons) Degree in Animal Management, including specialisms such as behaviour, nutrition and genetics and I'm also Canine First Aid trained (just in case)! I'm also currently undertaking an Accredited Dog Walking Diploma.

I've also had the privilege to have spent the last 3 years working for the largest dog training organisation in the UK, Guide Dogs; which not only allowed me to meet some incredible life-changing dogs, but taught me so much about the latest training methods and techniques to get the best from them.
