Chester - 2 yr old GSD mix 🥰 He's a beautiful dog with a lovely nature, but he hard a hard start to life which has set him back. He's insecure and anxious around people he doesn't know, he doesn't like busy roads and traffic and was generally a little skittish on walks. He's also hates shadows and light refraction. We've been working together for a couple of months now and he has come on leaps and bounds in that time... He's much more accepting of new people in the house, much more confident while walking near roads and traffic and is learning new coping mechanisms for when shadows and lights are around. If he keeps improving and developing the way he has been, he'll get past his issues quickly enough and be able to enjoy all aspects of life fully 😁

Lenny - 10 week old Beagle 😍 OMG, what a little beauty! It's not very often I get the opportunity to work such a young dog but absolutely love it when I do. He's doing fantastic and developing beautifully 😁 We've gone through all the foundations and building blocks today to make sure he's being set up for success right from the start! Prevention is better than cure, so starting as we mean to go on is key with a pup to ensure we don't encounter issues down the line that need addressing. He's super bright and loooves food so easy to engage and a pleasure to train, with the exception of the razor teeth of course 🦈😅

Britney - 4yr old Labrador 😍 She is awesome! She's mostly a very well behaved dog, just has a couple of areas that need a little work... She's a puller, although she took her lesson today on loose lead walking like an absolute champion! She was attacked by an off lead dog a while ago which left her feeling uneasy around other dogs as well as some men. We've already seen a huge improvement in her 'reactivity' and now she's done her loose lead lesson I'm sure it'll be a thing of the past, she just needs a little extra guidance in certain situations. She's really bidding and attentive so is an absolute pleasure to work! 🥰

Tico - 3½ and Jersey - 3 yr old GSDs 😍 Absolutely stunning dogs! Beautiful to look at and a joy to spend time with. Both have a lovely nature but are very different. They have a couple of bits to work through alone and together. Outside, Tico pulled hard on the lead and he's a big dog 😅 He had a lesson 2 weeks ago and is absolutely nailing it now! He's not 'reactive' when on the move so great to walk, but when he's stops (for a human coffee break etc) he thinks he needs guard his new spot so we'll address that soon... Jersey was already walking nicely on a lead but she was reactive. She had her first lesson a couple of weeks ago too and is also doing amazing. Huge reduction in reactivity already and we haven't really even started targeted work so thrilled with this...
Finally a little combined tidying up at home around threshold manners at the front door and barking at passers by but this should be straight forward too as they did fantastic with it today. Both dogs are super responsive and a pleasure to work with 🥰

Ollie - 20 month Labrador. Awesome young dog with a lovely nature and temperament. He's really social and affectionate, he's clever and attentive and eager to engage and learn 🥰 He's a really good boy on whole, but as with most young dogs he's got a couple of areas he could improve in to see him become a super well rounded dog... Biggest challenges are around loose lead walking and recall as he's easily distracted when out and about. We started loose lead work a month ago and he's improving all the time so we will be getting stuck into recall next 😁

Ruby - 5yr old Boxer 😍 She is an awesome dog! With people she knows, she's loving, affectionate and excitable. With people she doesn't know, she's a little unsure and insecure so tends to bark to warn away. She is also dog reactive and barks and lunges on her lead. She's another who needs crystal clear guidance and leadership to help her feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations but she's developing nicely and I'm confident these behaviours will be a thing of the past with a little more practice and consistency 😁🙌🏼

Poppy - 4 yr old Irish Doodle. She's is a lovely dog who mostly behaves herself very well, there's just a couple of areas she could do with improving in to make her the perfect companion 😍 When we first met (a couple of months ago) she pulled hard on the lead, but after a bit of practice she now walks beautifully next to her owner. Her recall was 'hit and miss' so we've been working to make it dependable, which is coming along nicely in the short time she's been practicing and she didn't like dogs appearing in her living room (only on TV but she doesn't know its a TV 😅) and is doing much better with that too and was happily watching dogs barking and running around on YouTube during our last session! She's super smart and responds really well when given the right guidance...

Fraiser - 16 wk old Cocker Spaniel 🥰 Melted me... It's not often now that I get the opportunity to work with such a young dog but absolutely love it when I do, especially when they are as cute and well behaved as this one! He's a little ripper who's coming along beautifully in all the important areas. He's been enrolled in our fundamentals course too so us starting as he means to go on. Millie - (nearly) 5 yr old GSD 😍 She is a beautiful and amazing dog who's had some really good time and work put into her 😁👏🏻 Her behaviour is mostly fantastic and some of her obediences are awesome! Personality and temperament is spot on, loving and affectionate, attentive and intelligent. Biggest area for improvement with her is around her lead work and reactivity with other dogs. Once we've ironed a couple of little creases out she's going to be incredible and I can't wait to see what we can get out of her! Awesome dog 🥰

Final summer graduates 🥰 We completed the last 2 summer groups last night and they were all epic! As always, it's been a pleasure to get to work with all and see the development and improvement.
We have an array of different dogs attend our group classes - some are young, some are older, some over socialised, some under socialised and everything in between. We cater for them all, and it's always awesome to see how they progress individually and as a group 😁
Now we're heading into the winter months and losing daylight (and weather...) we'll be moving classes back indoors to our new venue in Netherseal.

Margot - 8 month old Weimaraner 🥰 She's a lovely young dog who is developing beautifully. She hasn't got any 'bad' behaviours, just pretty typical excitable puppy bits to work through... She had her loose lead walking lesson a couple of weeks ago and did really well so Ragnar joined us today to give her some distraction to work around. She did really well with him there too so they got a bit of time off lead together to have a run around. She's already curbed her jumping up when greeting and is improving daily with her manners and obedience so I'm looking forward to seeing how she develops over the coming months 😁

Benji - 3yr old Dachshund. Cracking little dog 🥰 On the whole he's a really good boy with a lovely personality. He's excitable, loving and affectionate and mostly behaves himself very well... With that said, he's been a little unsure of people he doesn't know, particularly men and would bark and warn people off. He picked up the new expectation really quickly and curbed this behaviour super fast. He was also a little scared of loud noises and by busy roads, another area where he now has no worries 😁 Sometimes is doesn't take a huge amount to help a dog feel better and in turn behave themselves better, all Benji needed was a little more guidance and leadership through certain challanges to help him feel more relaxed.

Maverick - 2yr old Dogue de Bordeaux 😍 What an absolute stunner. He's a really good boy too and only has a couple of areas he needs to improve in. He is a lovely dog with a fantastic temperament - typical happy go lucky type. He's really social and super loving and affectionate, which actually leads to his first issue. Jumping up! When a dog weighs (nearly) 60kg, jumping up isn't ideal, but shouldn't take too much to teach him a calmer way to greet. His other undesirable behaviour is pulling on the lead. Again, with such weight behind him, if he wants to pull then he's pulling 😅 He's got bags of potential that I can't wait to start unlocking with him 🥰

We're planning on having a FREECYCLE table with 'dog stuff' that has been donated and still has some use left in them so feel free to come down and help yourself, and bring anything you'd be happy to donate that you think others could still make use of. First summer '24 Fundamentals group graduation tonight 🙌🏼😁 It's always a pleasure for us to be able to work with multiple dogs at a time and this group has been no exception. Some of the development has been incredible and watching them all perform on graduation night was awesome!! Well done again all... Now time for application in the real world 😉👍🏼

Bentley - (nearly) 3 yr old Working Cocker Spaniel 😍 He is a beautiful dog and a pleasure to work!! We've been working together for a few months now and he is doing great. His challenges were common enough for the breed... loves a walk! A little too much in fact so was a terrible puller and had questionable recall. We started with his lead work which he is now doing (mostly) amazing with and have tidied up his recall. He could also be a little temperamental with men he doesn't know so with a little clearer leadership he now understands he doesn't need to feel threatened as his owner has control!
