Ethics and Taxidermy are a complicated topic! Not only is it filled with so much emotion, ethics differ greatly from person to person. These slides are supposed to help you understand the taxidermy business better and make better decisions when purchasing your next piece! The general rule of thumb is shop small! Small shops will be happy to give you more information about your specimen before you purchase! Plus the ethics of a company become more and more complicated the bigger the company. These companies source massive amounts of specimens and it’s questionable whether they are always able to meet their ethical standards, when sourcing such a large amount of animals.
