🎄🐾 Christmas & Your Dog: Beware of Harmful Foods! 🐾🎄

The holiday season is full of delicious treats, but many of them are dangerous for your furry friend! Here are some foods to avoid giving your dog this Christmas:

❌ Chocolate – Toxic to dogs, especially dark chocolate.
❌ Grapes & Raisins – Can cause kidney failure.
❌ Onions & Garlic – Can damage red blood cells.
❌ Xylitol (in sugar-free treats) – Can cause low blood sugar and liver failure.
❌ Macadamia Nuts – Can lead to weakness and tremors.
❌ Alcohol – Even small amounts can be harmful.

Keep your dog safe by sticking to pet-friendly treats and keeping these human foods out of their reach. Wishing you and your pets a joyful and safe holiday season! 🐕❤️

🎆 Fireworks & Furry Friends: Keeping Your Dog Calm During Celebrations 🎆

🐶 With fireworks season upon us, it’s important to remember that what brings joy to us can be really stressful for our pups. Here are some tips to help keep your furry friends calm and safe during the festivities:

1. Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy, quiet area in your home where your dog feels secure. Add blankets, favorite toys, and maybe a treat or two!

2. Stay Home or Have Someone Watch Them: If possible, stay with your dog during the fireworks. Your presence is comforting. If you can’t be home, consider a pet sitter or ask a friend to stay with them.

3. Use Calming Aids: Consider using products like calming sprays, thunder shirts, or even relaxing music designed for dogs to help ease anxiety.

4. Distraction is Key: Engage them with toys, play games, or give them a special chew to distract from the noise.

5. Keep Them Indoors: Ensure your dog stays inside during fireworks. Close windows, draw curtains, and keep the TV or music on to muffle the sound.

6. Exercise Beforehand: A good walk or play session earlier in the day can tire them out and help them relax later.

7. Stay Calm: Dogs pick up on our emotions. If you stay calm, it helps them feel secure.

8. Update Their ID: Just in case they get spooked and run off, ensure your dog’s ID tag and microchip information are up-to-date.

Let’s keep our furry friends safe and happy this fireworks season! 🐾💖

After months of patience, persistence, and a few mishaps, today was the first day these fur babies ran off-lead—and guess what? Amazing recall! 🐾 From zero recall and pulling on the lead to coming back every single time, it’s been a journey, but so worth it. So proud of these 2 beautiful girls and excited for more off-lead adventures! 🐕 💙🐾💜
