My name is Jane McMahon and having owned and been besotted by dogs for over 20 years, I've decided to turn my passion into my business and start up Wags & Sniffs Pet Services offering:

Home Boarding. Full insured, recently gained my 4 star Licence from North Northants Council (no 22/01910/AWBH), Enhanced DBS checked and Canine First Aid qualified for 3 years from Oct 2022. If you are going away

for an extended period due to work commitments or holidays, home boarding is a much less stressful option as your dog joins us in our comfortable home, receiving care, attention, cuddles and exercise in a friendly family home from home environment. Guest dogs will be walked twice a day for 20 mins at a time (as a minimum!). There is access to the garden and enrichment activities/toys as appropriate. There is a resident neutered dog Mowgli and children of 16 & 12 so family friendly dogs welcome. Initial meet & greet essential to ensure we can meet your dog's needs and they will feel happy staying with us. New dogs requesting bookings of over 3 nights will need an overnight trial as per the licence conditions. Home Boarding (NNC Licence no 22/01910/AWBH)

First Dog - £25 per night (24 hrs)

Second Dog from same family - £15 per night (24 hrs)

Overnight trial (required before booking confirmation on first time stays of over 3 nights) - £20

Charges for additional hours after 24 hr period

Pop in Services. Sometimes, all you may require is a pop in visit for your pet at your home. Services can be useful if you have an elderly dog not requiring day care or dog walking services in order to break the day up for them. The service could include feeding them or simply providing them with some company and a toilet break. Any accidents will be cleared up and their water refreshed. This will give you peace of mind if you may be out of the home for a prolonged period. Pop in service (Brambleside area only)

• Wags & Sniffs Pet Services will not accept dogs registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or dog hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animal Act 1976 and complies with The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 - Conditions for providing home boarding for dogs
• Wags & Sniffs Pet Services does not accept bi***es in season. Un-neutered male dogs will not be accepted if they display any form of antisocial behaviour.
• Owners are required to give written consent to their dogs being mixed boarded with dogs from different households.
• All dogs will be required to attend a familiarisation “meet and greet” session to ensure that the dog will be suitable for home boarding. Owners are required to make full disclosure of any characteristic which may make their dog unsuitable for home boarding or walking services. Wags & Sniffs Pet Services reserves the right to terminate the booking without refund if behavioural issues are not fully disclosed. Behaviour such as territory scent marking within the home, aggression towards other dogs, excessive barking or dogs displaying extreme anxiety behaviour may result in future bookings being cancelled.
• Owners are required to ensure that their dogs are up to date for the annual booster, and treated with vet prescribed treatment for fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites prior to boarding. Any course of vaccination must have been completed at least two weeks prior to the first day of boarding or in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Proof of vaccination will be requested before a dog can be accepted.
• Owners must not board their dog if it is deemed to have any condition that could jeopardise the health of any other boarding dog. If a dog shows symptoms of infection e.g., sneezing, coughing, runny nose, eye discharge or conjunctivitis, then it will not be accepted for boarding until it has been clear of symptoms for at least 48 hours. If a dog is diagnosed with Kennel Cough, it will not be allowed to return to boarding for 14 days.
• Owners are responsible for checking their dogs on a regular basis for ticks and fleas and must report any incidences to Wags & Sniffs Pet Services. No dog will be accepted for boarding in the event of fleas or ticks being present.
• Owners agree to fully indemnify Wags & Sniffs Pet Services against any loss or injury to a third party or damage to property caused by their dog. Owners are fully liable for the full cost of any damages incurred by their dog.
• Owners agree to Wags & Sniffs Pet Services seeking veterinary treatment or advice in the event of a dog becoming ill, injured, or requiring emergency treatment. Owners are liable for the full cost of any veterinary fees that may be incurred whilst their dog is in the care of Wags & Sniffs Pet Services. If the illness or injury can’t be safely managed at Wags & Sniffs Pet Services, the owner or named emergency contact will be contacted to arrange collection of the dog. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that the emergency contact is aware of this arrangement.
• Wags & Sniffs Pet Services will exercise the dogs in accordance with the terms and conditions within the Animal Welfare Act October 2018.
• All dogs will be required to wear an identity tag on walks disclosing the name and phone number for Wags & Sniffs Pet Services. Wags & Sniffs Pet Services may use their own collars, leads and harness’ if it is deemed safer for the walker and the dog.
• Wags & Sniffs Pet Services will not accept dogs that are not fully house trained or chew furniture. The owner will be liable for the full cost of repairing any damage caused by their dog.
• Wags & Sniffs Pet Services requires all dogs to be microchipped in accordance with the Microchipping of Dogs regulations 2015.
• Costs are charged per night, per pet boarding. Current nightly charges will be provided on enquiry. Nightly charge equates to 24-hour period. Additional charges will apply when the 24 hours is exceeded. Extra charges apply for Bank Holidays and short stays at peak periods.
• Deposit: A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required for all bookings taken to confirm the booking. The balance is to be paid at drop-off. Owners accept that extra charges will apply for flight delays that extend the period of the boarding. For bookings confirmed within 7 days of the boarding period, the full balance is payable at the time of booking.
• Payment for ad-hoc bookings or for holiday boarding must be paid in full on receipt of the invoice. Wags & Sniffs Pet Services reserves the right to cancel future bookings if this term is not met. A 25% non- refundable deposit is required to secure a holiday board booking. This deposit is non-refundable if a customer cancels the booking. Balance is payable in full prior to or on drop off of pets.
• Cancellations: Cancellation within 14 days of a confirmed booking will be subject to payment of the full outstanding balance for the cancelled boarding period unless an alternative replacement booking can be confirmed by Wags & Sniffs. In this situation, an invoice for the outstanding balance will be issued by Wags & Sniffs with 48 hours of the cancellation with payment to be made within 7 days of the invoice date. Dogs unable to attend for boarding due to contagious illness will be classed as a cancellation within the 14 days period and the full outstanding amount will be due. Failure to bring your dog for the boarding period will be classed as a cancellation within the 14-day period and the full outstanding balance will be due.
• Reduced Boarding Period: if you dog is collected before the confirmed end date of the booking no refund will be due.
