We have found a good list of commands for people to pick off of. We also want to show you guys the difference between basic commands that your dog NEEDS to know and commands that are trick based that are not basic needs! But still cool to have! 🐾🐾

❗️We want your feedback❗️

With recent events rising of children being attacked by dog or their own pets - we have noticed that we do lots of training for adults but most places do not facilitate a kids training club.

We want to know if you would like us to hold a Kids Club during the Easter or summer half term for your kids to join us in a group training session to learn about behaviour and how to train their own pets!

As most clients will know I work with children full time, I am DBS cleared and I have qualifications of Theraputic Parenting. If this is something you would be interested in your children doing over the half terms please comment below! 🐾🐾

❗️ Socialisation ❗️

Please can we bare in mind when socialising our puppies that this does not mean “meeting every dog we see in the park”!

Controlled and balanced socialisation training means:
🐾 Training in busy areas outdoors such as town centres and ensuring your pup listens to you
🐾 Having controlled greetings with other controlled dogs
🐾 Training recall in a controlled space with their focus purely on you
🐾 Car training
🐾 Socialising with people outdoors and their focus still on you
🐾 Practicing commands outdoors with natural distractions e.g. moving cars, animals, other dogs

And DO NOT be afraid to advocate for your pups well-being and training. Nobody should approach or touch your puppy without your consent to do so❗️🐾

Walter has been working with us on his reactivity. He is friendly however feels to need to express himself through barking at Everything he sees!

During our last session he managed to stand the closest he ever has with a dog he sees regularly in the park and appears to not like. We still had a few reactions but it is a lot less than when we first met! 🐾🐾

🐾 Muzzle Training 🐾

Why is there a stigma that a dog wearing a muzzle means it is aggressive? Muzzle training is so important to teach your dog at a young age. Not incase they become aggressive! But because they might need to wear one at some point!
Muzzles can be used for some reasons below which are completely innocent:
🐾 To clip nails and avoid any snaps if your pup gets annoyed
🐾 To avoid any treats or your pup eating things they shouldn’t on a walk if they do not know command to leave it
🐾 To go to the groomers and avoid snaps of annoyance
🐾 To go to the vets and avoids snaps of annoyance
🐾 To socialise with every tool and environmental factor needed

Let’s not have a stigma on muzzling dogs, sometimes the reasons can be so innocent and you never know when you may need your pup to wear one! 🐾🐾

❗️IMPORTANT POST❗️

To all of our clients that have booked in with us so far. I wanted to make you all aware if I haven’t already that I currently do have quite a severe ankle injury that will require surgery in the upcoming months.
All sessions booked in will be moved as and when required but this will not affect the work or dedication I have towards helping and continuing all of your training plans. Please just bare in mind at some point soon I will need to have a few weeks to focus on my health.

🐾Diet🐾

We want to know what diet your dog is on?
- what are the benefits of their diet?
- what are the negative of their diet?

A lot of vets can give advice based on your dogs weight, this little guide below can be quite handy. Please remember different breeds mean this may be slightly different! Think about the breed you have and what they should be having in their diet! 🐾🐾

NO! It means socialising your dog with every situation/experience they need to become and develop as a well balanced dog! 🐾🙏🏻

Beautiful Bonnie 🐾💜

She struggled with on lead pulling and wanted to perfect her recall. Along with a very hyper energy in the home.

Within our puppy package Bonnie is now crate trained and is calm within her home. Her on lead work is being perfected along with her recall!

Another successful puppy class this week - covering on lead etiquette 🐾 Giving our handlers control and confidence with their new puppies ❤️🐾

✨ANOTHER SUCCESS✨ Our final session with Milo went brilliantly. He has mastered his recall training even with Ralphy as his distraction. The video below was his reward of a 5 minute play with Ralphy after doing so well at ignoring him for 55 minutes! 🐾

More of our August puppy class. Last session was on lead work and our clients smashed it out the park and graduated with their certificates ❤️🎉 We still have a couple of spaces for Septembers puppy class - don’t miss out! 🐾

We ONLY create well balanced dogs through our training. Your pup should know it’s safe in your company to relax. 🐾 Message us for tips on training to help you create this 📫

A refresher recall session with Cooper, just tweaking his come here command with a sit at the end which he will still need to practice in the coming weeks to perfect it. He done very well 🐾

Our last reactivity session with Mabel. Ralphy helped us start the process of teaching Mabel the correct greeting since she grew up in lockdown and hasn’t been able to socialise properly due to her slight reactivity. She done brilliant 🤩 🐾

🐾May Pack Walk🐾 Another small turn out but we still had some fun. 🐾

Another successful reactivity session with Mabel. Bear came along for the session to put Mabel’s training to the test. Mabel is reactive towards other dogs due to her being a “lockdown” puppy and not getting enough socialising she needed due to covid. We have completed 3 sessions so far with Mabel and given her owner the confidence and knowledge to correct and praise Mabel when needed. This was our first session with Mabel where she did not react once. 🐾❤️
