A fantastic day at the office! A last minute change of venue to keep dry and out the wind proved to be worth it.
⭐️King thoroughly enjoyed his first show of the year winning both his classes, standing ring champion and ending the day reserve supreme.
⭐️Penny owned by Lacey Higgs behaved beyond her years and to gain a win and a second, again standing ring champion, going one better to stand overall supreme!

Both ponies did us all proud today in awful weather conditions.

A big thanks to all for coming to cheer us on. Biggest thanks of all to Emma today for all her help both on the yard and at the show, couldn’t have got it done without you today!

A photo dump from January seen as I have been incredibly inactive this year so far!

Dillon really shaping up nicely dropping back between the lines after abit of work under saddle.
Penny gained some hacking miles both between the lines and under saddle.
King enjoyed a 10 minute holiday under the solarium.
I pony squished little breaker Violet and she’s taken to the job lovely.
And finally clipped a couple of ponies.

Pushing on to the season which is fast approaching with more schedules and judges being realised. Hope 2024 is treating everyone nicely so far and hasn’t required much lunging before getting on😂

From king breaking yet another rug, penny taking to this breaking job like a duck to water, some of the gang having hair cuts and throwing back to sunny days where everything wasn’t frozen solid😂

Slightly sad day at HQ today as I waved Cash off back home on his winter holidays. He left with numerous gold stars on the chart and has been a little gem for the 5 months he’s been with me. Will miss his little blonde head peeping over the stable doors😂🥰

Clipping season is here💈💇‍♂️

And we clip all shapes and sizes here (much to my backs disgust)

A regular face to the page Bibit modelling his usual full show clip, mane thin and tail tidy. I get in some questionable positions to get in the nooks and crannies🤦🏽

Yesterday little teddy had a full clip with blended half head and mane lines to be kept a lot more comfortable with the heat, he’s off showjumping today so hopefully gives him abit of extra speed now there’s no hair left!

As we know, I love a before and after and this chap has made such a transformation the last couple of months.
Oliver arrived the end of May this year, a very weak 5 year old weighing 485kg which for his build and body was very low. Fast forward to the bottom photo which was taken yesterday, he’s gained 50kg now weighing in at 533kg and looks twice the pony he did before. We’ve taken it very slowly and carefully with three smaller feeds a day, use of the treadmill 3x a week aswell as plenty of hacking out. A wee way to go yet but so thrilled with how he’s developing!💜

Was lucky enough to be asked to pilot the lovely Gromit again at the Royal international last week following our ride at Derbyshire Festival. He gave me a lovely go round and loved the blast up the hill, sadly his minimal mileage showed for the ride judge seeing him out the placings but his owners and I were so happy with how he behaved at only his 3rd show!
