Now she is a happy relaxed girl taking everything in her stride. Holidays, ferries, cars, steam trains, hotels, restaurants. She has come a very long way in 2 years. She now goes up to people to say hello even though a bit wary of men still and it took her a long time to trust Paul. She is a dog that needed a lot of time to work things out for herself, she wouldn't even sit for a long time. But she has worked out for herself that when the chopping board comes out and she sits close to me she gets a carrot . She loves a carrot!!!!

Annie in a restaurant for the first time. I went with a friend and her dog and they were both very well behaved. Two other diner's commented on how good they were . She is lying under the table on a towel, a bit difficult to see, but she was very relaxed and didn't make a sound all the time she was in there. The only thing she didn't like was some of the floor in the entrance was wooden and she wasn't keen to walk over it. We have wooden floors in our house so not sure what that was about. Anyway very very pleased with her, she takes everything in her stride now, it was worth taking time with her and going at her pace.

New toy for Annie's birthday, 4 today

Annie in Yorkshire. We visited my dying brother I law and stayed 3 nights in a b&b. Annie took it all in her stride and became more confident with different people. Very good during the long journey in the car and enjoyed the comfort stops on the way. She seems to have realised we will take her places but we always come home again. She now greets strangers with more confidence and has met several children with a very waggy tail. Giving her plenty of time and taking things very slowly at her pace has paid off. We have had her 10 months now and we can't believe the change in her from the scared dog she was.

So Annie had a long hair stuck in her ear???? Don't know where or when she got it but it's gone now. Tooth also removed and she has her appetite back. I hope no more visits to the vets for a while now.

I haven't updated Annie's page for a while, so here goes. We moved house 5 weeks ago and Annie has settled in very well. She has a bigger garden with lots of exciting smells and bushes to get behind. She has made several doggy friends and seen horses,cows ,sheep and best of all chickens! She is still nervous of men and the behaviourist says this will take some time to resolve. She has given me strategies to help her confidence and these are already working when we gave visitors. Unfortunately she had to go to the vet last week for an ear infection. The vet examined her and found a tooth that needs removing. We went back today and now the infection has cleared up a bit the vet could see a foreign body in the ear. She couldn't remove it so Annie will go in tomorrow to have ear and tooth sorted out. Hence the sad photo in the car. She had just had her ear poked around. I will put a happy video of her playing with a toy, a new skill learned last week
