I thought I would see how versatile the 🍪 would be when using them on a wing. Although Skye is still young there is no harm in her getting used to skills that I want her to do in the future and I am also adding in verbals.
Last week in training I got to have a play with Ellen’s amazing dog, Bella.
She’s definitely amazing to run on a course and is very much a comfy pair of slippers which means I can work harder on my handling skills with her. She just loves to run and please of which I’ve been told she doesn’t do that for anyone!
Who knows maybe I’ll get to compete with her one day?
She also reminds me of a little dog I used to know so well too.
💥 Jump for joy like Sheldon! Taster agility sessions coming soon! 💥
More info on the way!!
Loose lead walking is just one of the many things I cover and incorporating circle work really helps the dog focus. After a lot of practice Nelson can now walk by his owners side, checking in with her for the nod that he’s doing the right job.
A bit of a fun post.
Sheldon is 9 years old now so I have to start being careful with how much I do with him. You wouldn’t think he’s aged a day here!
From a training point of view though:-
• He has a warm up before.
• I get him focussed on me and do the basics.
• After all the fun I make sure he doesn’t get stiff especially the next morning
But ultimately he’s happy doing it and I am sure he will tell me when it’s time to stop.
💥I took Sheldon back to agility last night to see how he would do💥
I was blown away with his enthusiasm to still work at the age of 9 years old and he’s not learned any of the new handling skills I’ve been doing yet. So I think he did ok! 🐶

The afternoon went so well with people having a go at the hoopers and agility sessions.
I’m pleased to report we took just over £150 in the three or so hours. The demo we did also went down very well indeed.
Onto the raffle!!!!
A bit of contact training last night with Penny. It felt so good to get back to some form of agility. Just a little bit at a time to see what we need to work on.
I am now even more excited to welcome new pups into the puppy foundation classes in May. This course if full but I still have some spaces on the intermediate course for dogs 6 months up to a year old. So please fee free to contact me if you or anyone you know is interested!

I have just been sent this video of little Nala and I had to share it.
She was jumping up all the time on a walk so we had a chat, came up with a plan and tools to help.
Hard work pays off! Well done to the two of you 👍🏻
When your so tired from training the previous night 😴

So after 6 months off of any sort of agility training this is one of the results today. A 1st place in steeplechase with my little lightning bolt Penny. I went today to have fun and give both my dogs exercise and see where their fitness is right now. I wasn’t disappointed.
This has given me a massive boost to get back to training and work on new skills.
One happy owner today.
