This weekend was the race season opener for me & Dottie with Tri -Dog. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball, it was pretty warm yesterday but we got round safely.
Last night after the TORRENTIAL rain we had which continued in to the morning & thunderstorms. I've never driven in such torrential rain as i headed to the venue, every road was flooded! The triathlon had to be cancelled due to safety 🌩⚡️. My class of the duathlon was going ahead but I decided to pull out as I didn't want to risk the bike section & injure either myself or Dottie.
Not the opener we had planned but happy with my decision.
Big thanks to my other half Paul for wrangling the potty one who gets rather excited on the start line 🤣😂. You wouldn't believe from this video she is also a calm, loving caring therapy dog 😀
Racing season has started!!

I found a dog today, a lovely golden retriever. No one around at all & saw sone other walkers who also hadn't seen anyone. I looked on his collar & no tag. So I loaded him up into the van & off we went to the local vets to get him scanned for a microchip. No details on the chip!! Luckily for the dog he did have a tracker on. His owner tracked him to the vets. Please always make sure your dog has a tag. Which is actually a legal requirement & also check your microchip details are up to date. Luckily this story had a good outcome & I'm glad I was able to help.
So it had been a lovely day today weather wise, out on my last walk & things changed........... very quickly. Sometimes you have just got to laugh & go with it!!
