CEDAR, our matriarch Rhodesian Ridgeback, sadly passed away in 2022 at the beautiful age of 16 and a half years, an outstanding milestone for the breed. She began life in Scotland and from there literally travelled around the world to New York, then down to New Orleans, cross country to Los Angeles and then all the way to New Zealand, Western Australia and Dubai, returning to the UK in 2017. We ha
ve over 25 years experience of working, training and selectively breeding from Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and are based in mid Wales on the Shropshire/Herefordshire border, about 25 minutes from Ludlow and 40 minutes from Hereford. All of our dogs are health checked for hip and elbow dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy (DM) and juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME), and our foundation has also been tested and cleared for eyes, heart and thyroid. Good health and exceptional temperament are of paramount importance to us. We breed only when we wish to add another dog to our home. NO PLANNED LITTERS FOR 2023
Puppies are raised in our home amongst our other dogs (information further down) and will therefore have the full experience of household sounds, sights and smells. They will be well socialised with people in order to best adjust and equip them to grow up into well mannered, even tempered family members. All puppies prior to leaving us will be wormed, microchipped, given food for the first few days in their new homes and a piece of bedding with scents of their mother and litter mates in order to assist them in quickly settling into their new surroundings within your household.

HEMINGWAY is still waiting to take up residence in a new home. 💜
He's going to be a big boy but a gentle giant with a soft soul. He's got a lovely sharp ridge and a cute little liver nose, and I anticipate his colour to be a deep rusty red in a few months time.
First vaccination completed, wormed and microchipped, he's a superstar boy ⭐
If anyone is willing to step up to the plate, he's ready now to take home and love up on 💕

Happy to report that ROLLO has settled in beautifully with his new family this morning and has 100% accepted his snazzy sleepy quarters 🥰 We wish him the very best life ahead and are beyond excited that he's going to be a travelling around France throughout the holidays and living it large 🧡

First pup of the litter to break away and claim independence is ROLLO, who left us a little after 5am for an early morning truck ride to his final destination. 🧡
Thrilled to announce this handsome boy will be holidaying each year in France with a lovely couple and their two children. We'll be crash coursing his international barking techniques this week so he doesn't stand out too much as a tourist 🇫🇷

Curious GEORGE was all happy and running around the Vet practice this afternoon getting his nose into everything because he was last in line.... and then it was his turn on the table.
Even though he was a brave boy we returned home and he was pacing, there was shaking and shivering, whining, and he just wouldn't settle back in with his siblings.
After much love and cuddles on the couch he eventually got back to sorts and opted for a towel and a quiet corner 💚

It was VET DAY for The Bakers Dozen and on display we have the butterball of the litter weighing in at 5.5kg/12lbs, FINN 🐾
Very pleased to report that we are 100% Dermoid Sinus clear, each pup passed their individual health check with flying colours, heart beats are normal, ears and eyes are functioning as they should, extending legs out in every which way to ensure mobility was an all clear as well. Weight in general for each pup was on parr with their age (apart from Butterball FINN) 💙
Microchips and vaccinations were injected and a few of them weren't too pleased but the majority took it like the Champions that they are 🏆
All in all they were superstars and immediately upon returning home slept for an hour. Hooray ! 🥳

* UPDATE JANUARY 8 *
PINKY, aptly named for her audaciously pink collar, is back on the market strutting her stuff for some lovely family to scoop her up. 🩷
Believe me when I say that this ADORABLE little madam can hold her own amongst the boys !!
She is highly independent, strong willed, and loves exploring. She also is amazingly quick to learn, stops whatever she's doing when you make a clicking sound and just comes right to you (whilst most of the litter looks around to figure out what's going on) 😂
She would be absolutely ideal for an outdoorsy family. Her ridge is lovely and straight and she has a small white triangle on her chest. Her current black body will, over time, turn to red wheaten but she will retain the gorgeous black muzzle of the breed.
She's a great girl although small in stature (for now) as she was the last born from our Bakers Dozen , but don't be fooled, she's got one helluva right hook 🥊

UPDATE: ON HOLD
This VERY handsome liver nosed boy keeps getting passed up by prospective new owners for his black nosed brothers 💚
He's very perceptive to his surroundings, has a lovely sharp ridge and the tiniest little white dot on his chest that is barely visible. He can hold his own amongst the litter and is beginning to show some great characteristics of becoming a solid boy.

My current view.
I walked in with my laptop. They thought it was their feeding tray. Now I'm staring at this. 👀
Last Drops. 🍼
Last of what I call the lacto-milk, which is what assisted mum TACOMA keep her calcium levels up in feeding The Fab 14 for the very first two weeks. I am so very proud of her as a first time mum in that we did not have to assist her by bottle feeding any of the litter, she did it all by herself. We did however feed her enormous amounts of food in order to keep up her health levels. She was on high protein and calcium prepared food, and every 24 hours for those first two weeks went through... 15 tins of wet food 2 kilos of fresh cooked chicken 20 cups of dry kibble ... in addition to fresh vegetables, fruit, sneaky little bits of buttered toast, and rice. THIS VIDEO is the result of well fed, happy puppies, enjoying their last drop of milk as a treat before we put them back onto their semi-solids.
