GCCF’s Fundraiser for Ukraine

Our appeal for the cats of Ukraine is still on-going – first of all, a heartfelt “thank you” to all the many individuals and GCCF clubs that have supported this appeal and raised over £15,500 so far.

At the start of this fundraising campaign, GCCF pledged to match fund all donations received, up to the target of £25,000. As a result, we were able to send £26,492.64 to Nowzad, to support their heroic efforts in Ukraine to support animal shelters in eastern Ukraine who are unable to evacuate their animals and are desperate for food supplies for their starving animals. Nowzad’s team in Ukraine is not only delivering vital animal supplies but also supporting localised Trap Neuter Vaccinate and Release programs. With the approach of Easter, and its message of hope, we can look forward to time spent with family, friends and our own animals. For the people and animals of Ukraine it’s a very different story as this conflict shows no signs of ending soon. Please help us to reach our target – we know it’s an ambitious one, and there are many calls on your generosity at a time of financial constraints, but any gift – no matter how small – will make a difference.
