Here is the gorgeous Casper who was in recently for a castration and microchip. 🐱💉He recovered really well from his operation and enjoyed lots of fuss from our team whilst with us 🥰

Grass seeds - please, please check your dogs thoroughly after their walks for grass seeds. I found this between my Molly's toes this evening. Grass seeds can burrow into the skin and cause extreme pain and infection. If left can result in surgery. 🐾🐾

DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS!

We are sadly still seeing so many reports online and in the news of dogs being left in cars in the hot weather.

It is NEVER worth taking the risk...

🌡Even in just a few minutes, or whilst doing a short trip to the shop, temperatures inside a car can rise rapidly!

🌡When a dog is very hot - panting isn’t enough to stop them from overheating. With that fur coat... things become very unbearable, very quickly!

🌡The temperature in your car can still rise to dangerous levels, even if you leave the window open or park in the shade.

Again it’s going to be hot next week and heatstroke/heat stress is PREVENTABLE CONDITION!!!

High risk - the elderly, brachycephalic, obese, and those with heart and lung problems

Above 20°c and these high risk dogs can be in danger - That applies to any situation whether it be inside (groom room) or outside (for walkies) especially from 24°c so don’t put them in that danger!!!

In the U.K. we have very few hot days, avoid the walk and play games instead! Mental stimulation can be just as tiring. Speak to both your dog walker and groomer to make a plan. One that keeps your dog safe ❤️
