Sid’s story - if you live in Norfolk DO NOT take your tortoise to All Creatures Healthcare Ltd back in 2021 we took Sid to them for a respiratory problem, injections and 3 months later he still wasn’t getting any better, they suggested he may have pneumonia and that a CT scan is needed, so we agreed, she also mentioned that he had lost weight (this was in covid times so we were not allowed in the vets), I said “oh really what does he weigh”, she said 5kg, I was like what he was 8kg( we weigh them every month), they had been weighing him wrong for 3 months, so with that weighed how I had suggested (even though I’m not a vet🙄) and they had the weight I had by a few grams that he had lost, so now he was on the right dosage of antibiotic, still with appt booked for London, we took him and they said he was healthy, and they all loved him walking around saying hello to everyone , I asked them if giving him the wrong dosage of antibiotic was why he wasn’t getting better, they said absolutely that’s the reason, fast forward 2023 I decided to make a complaint against the vet for negligence, I sent an email and had a response saying we have your email and will be in touch soon, then nothing, I kept sending emails asking for a reply, apparently I had been sending them to the wrong department 🤷‍♀️, they then asked me to send an invoice in for what I think I should be reimbursed for, so I did, they would not accept that Sid had an issue from Jan to end of April, they said he was weighed wrong for only a few days, that is BS, she told me in an earlier email, that in April they changed over systems and was unable to retrieve any history, so with that would only pay me for less than half of what I believe they should pay for, I said no that’s not fair, so I got vet mediation involved (who to be fair were always going to be on their side), but because I decided to get them involved they would not now pay me anything, Louise Rayment-Dyble, has got to be the rudest and most inconsiderate women I have come across. They also sent me a waiver to sign if I was going to accept the money, the waiver says that I cannot talk to any third parties about this and that the compensation is only for April-May l, I was not going to sign that, because that’s not the truth and I wouldn’t have been able to tell you guys, we have now found a great vets Toll Barn Veterinary Centre Limited who are very caring, cheaper and easier to make an appt, Sid is all fine now, just weigh your tortoises regularly so you can keep and eye on weight and also if you come across incapable vets that don’t know what hey are doing

Hello everybody!!!! The past few days we have been on midwife duty as we welcome our first ever baby leopard tortoises!!! These are Linda’s babies!!! We have had 5 out of 8 of this batch hatch with a very good success rate for the first time! Enjoy many photos of the babies in the near future🐢🐢🐢

!!SAFE FEEDS!! We have had a lot of you asking for this, so here it is. Pictured are some plants that you can easily grow in any garden providing a healthy range of feeds for your tortoise!! These plants also offer flowers which makes the garden look nice if you’re still after the appealing look- however buddleia flowers are a no feed. If you’re ever stuck for what weeds/plants to feed your tortoise- download the tortoise table app where you can search the common name of the plant and see whether it is a safe feed, moderation feed or a no feed, or drop us a message and we will do our best to reply in time!

Believe it or not, that is not a lettuce leaf. That is in fact the biggest dandelion we have EVER seen so we had to pick it for the tortoise to devour. The biggest leaf measured in at a whopping 41cm!!!
