I understand how important trust is with your dog; I am a
home based dog groomer,
I am trained and fully insured. I am a dedicated dog person with a passion for what I provide, I have been round dogs all my life and spent 11 years completing positive methods training with my own fur babies. I now use what I have learned on these training days and seminars with my customers dogs. I have full und

erstanding on how important it is to feel trust when looking for someone to provide care for your fur family. I understand that for some dogs grooming is a very stressful experience, I work on my own with my customers, I do not cage the dogs, they are with me in my groom room (usually found having cuddles), I only have one customer with me at a time, I also take my time with my grooms. I am happy to do multi dog house holds on the same appointment. The dogs well being is the most important to me and I try to take it at the dogs pace and acceptance. I have started to work with people and their dogs, This is an extra service that I have found very helpful for owners and the dogs. I provide 121 training and support to work with fearful dogs. This is also working with dogs in there own environment to provide training for the owners to support there dog between grooms, using positive reinforcement. teaching them and you how to support them. As an extra service £15.00 per session

Grooming prices . vary for breed, type and condition of the coat. I try to keep costs straight forward. These start from 20.00 for short coated small breeds e.g. French bulldog, I discuss this with you at the time of inquiry. I also offer a mobile nail trimming service. you can make an appointment for your dogs to come to me also. this would be. £8.00

I do a pick up and drop off service for an extra fee of £5.00. I have also groomed in clients homes. This is not my preferred method as I have a hydraulic table to support me and my set up but if required its a possibility. With children and pets spending more time together over the summer holidays, it's super important to watch dogs closely and listen to their body language ⚠️

Dogs' stress signals often get misunderstood or missed, with some owners not realising their dog is unhappy until they growl, snap or even bite.

The canine ladder of communication is a useful guide, showing the different signals dogs show through their body language to communicate. As a dog gets more upset, their body language may change according to the steps on the ladder 🚦

It’s important to note that all dogs are different - not every dog will show every behaviour on the ladder and might not follow the same order.

Hi all,
Just to let you know I'm back from playing nurse 😁,
I am still on full time pre school pick up and drop off duty, but I'm able to book grooms in across the day now. Some aspects are still slightly limited, but I'm working through them as they appear.
I am still taking longer to do my job and I thank you very much for your understanding and support during this time. Each and everyone of your babies are very important to me.
Please feel free to book in, my books are getting full and forward planning your appointments is very much appreciated wherever possible.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas & New year celebrations.
I will be off work from the 17th of January for 2 weeks as Steve is having a full knee operation. So I'm on nurse and mum duty, if your in need of a groom before these dates then please contact me and I'll get you booked in.
If your groom falls inside of these dates and are able to move your appointment forward then again please contact me.
I can still plan and make bookings after the surgery, but will be limited on times for a short period as I will be on drop off and pick up duty for Loretta going to pre school.
If your in any doubt about anything please don't hesitate, Just contact me.
Thank you for your ongoing support and patience during this time, I'm sure I'm going to need a very large glass of something at some point

Just to let all my customers know, I have air con in my tiny space. And a small fan on my radiator next to my table to ensure it's directed to your babies while being dried. Every effort is made to ensure comfort while grooming.
If for any reason I feel the heat is unsafe I will contact to request a different appointment time.

Take care of your pups, no one ever died from not having a walk but heatstroke is a real deal, AND CAN KILL.
Tips
WALK first thing in the morning or past 8pm at night.

Stick to shaded routes and pack water to drink on them for both of you 😊.

Don't be scared to skip a walk, your dogs will thank you for it.

If your unsure Check that the floor is not to hot for their little paws. You can do this by standing on the floor yourself....

Provide a paddle pool and games to play instead of walks.

Most of all just think if your in a t shirt and your dogs in a fur coat, how hot will they really be. ###

I'll shut up now and get an ice lolly before the sun goes in. X 😁

With autumn here make sure on your daily walks your dog doesn't play or eat acorns. Acorns are poisonous to dogs and can block their stomach. Find out more at thekennelclub.org.uk/acorns.
