🎄🐴Christmas Holidays has now started for the horses and I. Back up and running on Saturday 4th January.🐴🎄

What an incredible year it's been for the club!

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support with my business ❤️

My proudest moments from this year are confidence and friendship building. Hearing that children have no friends and struggle to be around others and then to watch such strong friendships form is just amazing! Not only the children, also parents and carers have become friends and being able to share their struggles and experiences with each other is so needed.

Horses really do have something special about them ❤️

🎉🐴🧡SOME GOOD NEWS TODAY🧡🐴🎉

Those of you that regularly attend will know that Ginger got struck with Laminitis last Monday.

We are extremely pleased to inform you that between the vet and the farrier Ginger is receiving the treatment she needs to get her comfortable and back out from box rest. Her owner is prepared to give her the best treatment possible 🥰

She was such a good girl to x-ray. I on the other hand struggled to get my suit on 🤣

She's been improving massively on new pain relief which now can be reduced. She has got EMS which we are going to medicate. This should get her insulin levels better and prevent her from coming down with Laminitis.

So it's the best news which we were all hoping for today 😁

We all love you to bits Ginger 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Big shout out to Bobby Craig our amazing Farrier who made sure he was here for x-rays to support Ginger. Also thank you Sussex Equine Hospital for doing what you can for Ginger.

This is the lovely Alex, Alex has been attending sessions weekly at Katie's Horse Care Club for a while now. He is an incredible lad and Mondays aren't the same without him if he can't attend. With the extra support of an assistance dog I feel Alex will progress massively. He has been so excited about this opportunity. Please support Alex if you can 🐕❤️

Saturday Equine Volunteer -
Our Riding School offers anyone with a keen interest in horses the opportunity to be a part of our Equine team.

We are looking for volunteers over the age of 12 years to help us on Saturdays with our yard duties and riding school sessions . A huge part of the sessions is helping the staffing team to ensure that all our customers who have booked pony rides or lessons get the very best from their time here and leave with smiles on their faces!

🐴 🎉Happy 1 year anniversary Izzi 🎉🐴

This time last year I'd kept a big secret that a new horse was arriving here at the club.

As you can imagine, when the horse lorry drove onto the yard and I shouted 'surprise' the kids were more than excited.

It was pouring with heavy rain, also being crowded by excited children he was super chill and enjoying the fact all the fuss was about him.

Izzi is adored by so many and has been the absolute perfect addition to the club.

We love you Iz Whiz ❤️

This time of year, approaching the winter is a really tough time for horse owners. The level of care increases massively. The horse that lived out 24/7 with no hard feed, no hay, no rugs, easy poo picking now can't go a day without you devoting your time, money and effort at least twice a day to them. This is when uneducated horse owners do wrong and horses become neglected.

After seeing many horse welfare cases online and some so local it really upsets me.

Horse's are not a pet. They are a lifestyle. They are expensive and time consuming. The average low maintenance horse without medical complications costs roughly £5000 a year to care and feed.

Horses should be eating between 16-20 hours a day. A small amount of hay in a muddy field isn't going to meet your horses needs.

Check under your horses rugs everyday. Often with welfare cases the horse looks fine until the rug is removed and they are a bag of bones underneath.

Every horse is different and requires different care. They are super complicated animals. If you can't cope being a horse owner there is absolutely no shame. Give that horse to a welfare charity to help find its perfect home.

All I can say is how incredible are these horses and children 🐴😄❤️

I still can't stop giggling!

Izzi had a headless horseman named Steve riding him 🤣 Steve fell off on Saturday but has improved his riding skills since and managed to stay on today!

Ginger was a pumpkin 🎃 She tried to eat the kids sweets when trick or treating which was too funny 🤣

Prince was a danger zone. ☠️⚠️He might stay colourful for a while! 🫣

Dax was a skeleton 💀and has eaten the most polos and carrots you'd think was possible trick or treating 🥕

They've enjoyed it as much as the kids!
