G and Shady , smashing a hoopers course today ( agility tunnels)
You can see how much dogs enjoy it, as Shady just kept running...despite me throwing his toy for him as a reward for completing the course
😀🐾👌
Henry...showing confidence, going into a box, for the first time.
His confidence to do such a behaviour has been helped by previous ' shaping' training
Ace looking awesome at training today 👌 🐾
It was the last Thursday of the current courses.. this evening
Had a great evening with my lovely students and their wonderful dogs.
In the video.....Harry, in the Level 3 class, is showing a ' shaped' behaviour.
All the dogs in the Level 3 class tried this tonight, and were all really clever and successful at it.
Looking forward to seeing most of my Thursday evening students again in two weeks time. 😀 🐾🤩
Mitch 💙 showing a short sequence of re- calling through the weaves, and then a threadle wrap after the tunnel.
I had not practiced this before...videoing, and I was stood perfectly still, so he was just relying on my verbal.
Tup, tup tup...is his 'threadle wrap' command
Such a good boy 🥰
Proofing waits/stays, in the Level 2 class today.
We further proofed these waits/stays by having a handler and dog, walking past the dogs as they lay in a wait....with their owner sat opposite.
Super PROUD of this group today.
An hour of self control excercises and they smashed it!!!

Learning to weave in and out of legs.....great for focus and co- ordination of dogs and handlers 😀🐾
Mitch 💙 doing a short agility sequence today...where I have to leave him in his weaves, in order to try and get ahead at the dog walk .
Mitch 💙....an emergency wait / stop, whilst running ahead of me .
We learn the basis of this command/ behaviour, in the Level 2/3 classes.
Mitch 💙 achieving a difficult independent weave entry.
Mitch 💙 Doing a short sequence, independently with weaves...included.
Mitch 💙... doing an emergency wait/ stop.
It was great to teach Greame and Shady today...after an enforced break
Shady started his lesson with agility and then finished with a Hoopers run
Hoopers is low impact, so great for any breed of dog.
The tunnels are shorter...but we used the agility tunnel today.
I will be having a Hoopers taster day in April so please enquire in you are interested, or keep an eye on this page, for confirmation of day and time 🙂🏃♀️🐾
Chalkie...and the rest of the Level 2 class, doing a fantastic job of ' proofing' waits. 😀👌
Hoopers...consists mainly of hoops, tunnels and barrels.
Here are Greame and Shady...showing how it is done!
Nicola Bishop and Henry Rainbow Kissses
Nicola has been training with me for almost 16 months now.
Nicola loves training and learning Henry tricks .
Mitch 💙 running last Summer.
The fastest agility dog, I have had, but the hardest to handle.
With my marriage break-up/ divorce , 2 x Covid isolations, and, my usual 7 day a week work schedule, meaning limited training and shows, poor Mitch has not had the best route to become a competing agility dog.
I always make sure that the courses are suitable for him ( a fast, long striding dog) or I will not run him.
Just one more win for him to get to Grade 5 needed
(Start , Grade 1, Grade 2 .....to Grade 7)
My first 2 agility dogs Dan and Tup, got to Grade 6, and Flynt and Bree got to Grade 7
My shows will again be limited this year.....so I just hope we get some nice flowing courses, with no large ' holes' in any of the rings .
Mitch has the kindest nature, and is a lovely companion.
What he achieves in agility is just a bonus .
Championship Agility. Classes
To be able to compete in a Championship class agility dogs have to be Grade 7 ( Start at Grade 1 , then progress to Grade 7, with many wins needed to accomplish this).
A Championship Class, is run over 3 rounds.
All dogs at each height, compete in an agility round, and a jumping round.
The 2 rounds/ scores are put together, and the top 20 dogs, from those two rounds, get to compete in the Final.
Here is my Bree ; competing in the Large Championship Final at Hinckley Championship Show.
We were first to run, and Bree had managed to beat, 200+ dogs, just to compete in the Final.
We finished in 6th place
Truly my dog in a million ❤️ 💜❤️
