“I bought a car dog bed a few months ago and love it. My rescue collie has 3 legs and was locked in a barn on a farm in Ireland. She hates the car and I think it comes from her first experience of the outside world, having her leg amputated and travelling to England. She lies still but just doesn’t like it. I really feel she has been better and feels safer in the new bed so thank you so much”

What size car seat do I need?

I often get asked what size car seat to go for - in general I suggest that under 10kg can fit in the small car seat and over 10kg in the large car seat, however it does depend on whether they like to curl up or stretch out.

The other factor to consider is where you would like to use the car seat in the car. The small fits in both the front and back seats of the car whereas the large only fits in the back of the car.

In all posts, I will state whether it is the Isofix (small) car seat or the large car seat. I will also always try to include the dogs breed and weight to help.
