Nice busy week last week. Christmas jumpers are absolutely welcome from now on for those of you with dogs who don’t get filthy every walk😂 or those who don’t mind washing them😂🎄

As we get closer to Christmas, the traffic in and around Macclesfiled gets worse so I may be running a few minutes behind over the next two weeks.

There will be some walk timing changes from January as well, I’m just finalising the diary this week so will let everyone know end of this week if your affected. Those who have asked for extra slots from Jan, I will also confirm end of this week.

If you want your dog to wear coats/jumper/equefleece on their walk let me know and leave them out next week. Some dogs can get cold 🥶

Shorter week this week due to Brambles operation Monday. Thank you to everyone who’s messaged asking how she is. She’s healing really well and will be back out on walks in no time!

Great week with my little gang! Apart from the washout today, weathers been nice and we’ve even had some sun ☀️

If your dog has a dressing gown or drying coat feel free to leave it out on rainy days. Josies been wearing hers this week in the van and she’s nearly dry when I drop her off. Works a treat 👌🏻

🚨 Blue Green Algae at Errwood Reservoir! 🚨

As many of my customers know, I love taking my girls up here for a swim on the weekend/evening
however there is currently loads of blue green algae present. These pictures were taken tonight by the sailing club. ⛵️

Blue green algae is highly toxic for dogs and can cause severe liver and neurological damage if ingested. Do not let your dogs drink, swim or go anywhere near it.

Duke!🥇 🏆

Dukes been with us here at Pawfect-Walkies for quite some time and he may just be my biggest softy. He loves absolutely everything and everyone, ducks, dogs, people and geese. You name it, Duke loves it 😊🦆 🐶 🚶🏼‍♂️

We’ve been working really hard with Duke on his loose leash walking and ignoring other dogs over the last few months and this week he’s been an absolute Angel 😇.

Paddy is a long standing member of Pawfect-Walkies and is currently the largest dog on the books!

Paddy’s shown dramatic improvements in his behaviour over the last few weeks and it looks like we can finally see the end of that teenage tunnel 🚂 .

Troublesome two having a wonderful walk

Do you know what healthy play looks like for your dog? This video below shows two dogs with very similar play styles interacting very energetically and mutually decide to end the play session. You’ll notice when molly (the cockapoo) shakes off, Josie (the collie) immediately does the same and they then enter a calmer state for the remainder of the walk. When dogs shake off this generally shows a release of either tense muscles or emotion. You may notice your dog shake off after rigorous play or maybe after a very uncomfortable encounter. It’s important to recognise yours dogs body language and also be aware of other dogs body language as well to avoid negative encounters and experiences.
