I can honestly say that the last week has been the worst I have ever experienced in over 20 years of breeding.💔🥲

Most people think that it’s an easy hobby and always joyful. They don’t see the heartbreak when you’ve spent the last two weeks with very little sleep 😴 getting up every 2 hours to tube feed newborn kittens when their Mums are not managing.

You want to support them, but sometimes nature takes its own course and however we intervene the outcome is not a positive one.💔
Fortunately for both my young girls despite losing all their babies they have bounced back. I know that I must be grateful that they are healthy and live in the moment.😻

To compound the sadness Sophie also lost her beautiful black girl. 🐈‍⬛ She was extra special as this is Sophie’s last ever litter. She was progressing well, but died suddenly at 6 weeks of age.

Today I buried her in a secluded part of the garden. She has Rudbeckia planted with her the black centre represents her colour and the yellow her sunny personality. She was beautiful inside and out.

I thought of you Yuen…..when a white feather floated down. Thank you for your support and the beautiful Sweet Williams.

I am grateful that it was a sunny day today. Spending time in my garden is very therapeutic……it takes a close second place to my love for all my precious Pollybees.

Hug your babies tight, they have been “grown” with so much love and each one takes a piece of my heart with them when they complete one journey, and start a new one in their forever homes.
