My Visit Vet

Say Hi Saturday!
We thought as we are a mobile clinic our clients don't get to meet all of our staff face to face so we would introduce them for everyone to get to know.
First up is one of our receptionists Liz.
Liz was born and bred in Bolton and still lives there with her partner Dan,
She has been working in the veterinary field since 2015 after moving from a career in customer service.
Liz is a lifelong animal lover having grown up around horses and dogs all of her life, she enjoys working in the veterinary industry as she could talk about animals all day and enjoys offering support in any way to pet parents.
Her and her partner currently have 4 dogs they are called Polly who is a Jack Russell terrier cross, Lottie the lurcher, Blossom who is a lurcher and Merlin who is you guessed it a lurcher as well, notice a theme there? :-)
She also has 2 rescue Shetland ponies called Daisy and Primrose and a bearded dragon named storm fly.
When she isn't caring for all of these pets she enjoys lots of crafty things such as crochet and sewing.
As a self confessed nerd she also enjoys playing dungeons and dragons or board games with her friends.

What a good boy!
Everyone meet Jax - this lovely boy met Sharon and Mel last week as it was time for his castration. Isn't he a beautiful boy modelling his Donut collar to keep him away from his wound :-)
Good boy Jax, we hope Santa paws gave you extra goodies for being so well behaved!

Just like a pro !
Meet our new friend earl the dog,
Earls mum told us he hates the vets and had to be medicated to go and have his monthly allergy injection, but as you can see in the comfort of his own home he's showing off his skills by getting on the scales and sitting nice and still all by himself with encouragement for his mum with treats of course, he's not daft! Good boy Earl, we will see you in a month.

Baby pictures,
We all have hundreds of photos of our pets over the years but nothing can beat baby photos lets see some then and now photos of your pets :- )

Here is our receptionists Liz's dog merlin as a baby and as a grown up, although he still behaves like a baby most of the time to get his own way and he still has no control over his ears :-)

JET SET PETS.
Did you know we offer Animal health certificates?
These have replaced what we used to call Pet passports. If you are planning on taking your pets on holiday with you or you are moving to another country, this is one of the things your pet will need to travel alongside an up to date rabies vaccine and possible worming treatment (to confirm what each country requires we recommend you check the APHA website).
Finding a vet that can provide these certificates can be challenging so if you are planning a trip why not contact us now to book a visit from Luke and Mel

FUN FACT !
Hippos can’t swim and instead they sink in water and run along the river bottom. However, as mammals, hippos have lungs just like we do, and therefore can't breathe underwater - they can only last about five minutes between breaths.

That said, hippos are able to breathe air while being almost entirely submerged, thanks to high-set nostrils that protrude out of the water. These can be sealed when the animals need to dive.

Hippos are not the most dangerous animals in Africa - as many claim

A home in time for Christmas !
Yesterday Luke and Mel went to meet this lovely handsome boy Buster, Buster is a nearly 4 year old Staffordshire bull terrier who is vaccinated and neutered .
He is a lovely active bouncy boy who is looking for a home in time for Christmas, he is very friendly and out going dog who loves people and treats of course however he cant live with cats.

Luke attended our home with his assistant Claire both were very professional. I needed an home visit as my Doberman is quite scared of going to the vets surgery so my visit vet was the perfect solution as my dog needed to be seen regarding his nails one had completely split and needed to be treated as well as all the other nails needed trimming so he was sedated as he’s nervous 😬 they cared for him through out checking on him all the way through also checked his ear took a sample for there lab, very efficient and nothing was too much trouble, I would highly recommend Luke and Claire from my visit vet
This home visit took away all my anxiety as well I used to stress taking him as I felt so sorry for him having to go, now he his in the comfort of his own home what could be better 🐾
