Morning guys, I hope you are all doing well!

Just thought I’d pop on and share some pictures of some of the amazing horses and ponies I get to work with weekly.

So I haven’t been posting on here in the last couple of months, I’ve been busy busy starting work early and finishing late but I will try and keep you all updated from today 😊

So here are a few photos of lots of different horses and ponies I ride, they are all coming on and progressing really well with the work I have been doing with them whether that is schooling, jumping groundwork, and even hacking. I’m really happy with each horse and ponies work and how well they are doing as some I’ve had to re break and restart them due to other “professionals” rushing the job and not understanding the horse well and making the horse unpredictable and unsafe but they are getting there slowly. (Hopefully be a progress video soon)

I’ve been doing a fair bit of teaching too which I’m pleased to say everyone is coming on with and making good progress but also a massive well done to them all for always listening and working on their homework I give them to work on before the next lesson, so well done all of you 😊

Overall, it’s been a good but busy last few months and I’m loving every second of it. I am so lucky to have a job like this, so thank you everyone ❤️

Just a little competition update!
Jack did his first ever competition last month at the riding club where he came 3rd and 2nd in an intro combine training then a prelim test! He was on top behaviour with only one naughty moment but looking forward to getting him out more!

Then last weekend I took little cooper to his first ever dressage show where he was foot perfect with a couple of green moments to pull off a 4th but he was outstanding, everyone was very pleased to the way he went

After coops I took fudge into the intro and prelim where he pulled it out the bag and got 1st in both tests! Considering he hasn’t been out in 2 years and never ridden on grass he was amazing!

Then on Sunday I took cooper in the novice ridden pony and horse in a huge class he gained a 7th where again he behave impeccable just again some baby moments but he’s doing so well to when I first started to work with him to now is a huge improvement

Then lastly I took miss holly in the rare breeds where she came 2nd and she was foot perfect but what marked her down was another pony was right up bum and spooked her so shot off but couldn’t fault her as it wasn’t her fault!

Then I took her in the small breeds where she did a foot perfect show and came 1st. So I was very pleased with her show and how she’s come on since the last show is amazing!

I want to thank all the owners for trusting me with your babies taking them out and also schooling them throughout the week. I’m pleased with all of their progress 🫶🏼

Not even half of my rides this week! But thought I’d pop on here and share with you all on how I’ve been doing! The last few months I have been no stop and I have been loving every second of it, not everyone can say they love their job but I certainly do! Even the naughty ones. ———————————————————So here is a little video edit of some of my rides I’ve had this week and lucky enough for someone to be there to video! I am enjoying every second of everyday when waking up and coming to ride all your beautiful horses/ponies and I can’t thank the owners enough for trusting me with them. Every horse or pony has made some amazing progress in the right direction this week. Now all ready for a new week, let it roll on 🏇

Busy weekend I had with these three beauties:

On Saturday we took Josh to his first ever dressage show where we did intro c and came 2nd in a big class, where he produced such a lovely test considering he’s never seen white boards before and he’s a very spooky boy but he was outstanding! Then a long 2 hr wait for our combine training class where we rode prelim 7 which he was more looky and cheeky in but still got round then did the 60cm show jumping where he just got 8 faults but overall finished 5th in a big class. So I am over the moon with how well he behaved!

Then on Sunday it was up early going to pick frog and huggie up to go to the local riding club show where I rode Hugo in the ridden coloured and he was super but a little cheeky but managed to pull a 2nd which qualified us for the championship but didn’t do as it was 18:00pm and the ponies have been showing all day so we thought best to leave it on a good note! But he was a good boy, all ready for our next one…. 🤞🏽

I also rode the lovely scout who pulled off a 2nd in our first ridden show together as it was a last minute decision to pop him in a class as I was up there and he was up there too so very pleased with him too

I’m also incredibly proud of Dulcie Mae and her boy frog they both have come on so far I’m so happy that he went out and they did their first ever competition together and behaved impeccable and dolly you rode super and I’m glad you didn’t chicken out last minute! He placed 5th in both classes of 14! I hope to see you out more on him. So proud of you both!

So overall a busy and long weekend on top of my work I did on Saturday morning and afternoon/evening before going to compete josh

A very busy last couple of weekends!

Sunday the 26th I headed over to the THRC annual show to ride a handful of my client horses:

I started the day of with lukka who I just popped round the clear round as it was his first outing and on grass where he jumped a lovely clam clear round not putting any faults in!

Then I had holly who was booked in for the 30cm but unfortunately missed that class due to her being in the in hand so we popped her in the 45cm which was her first ever jumping course and her first time jumping at the club! We got round and over every jump we had some green moments but I’m still very proud of her! Then she went into her first ever ridden show which I took her in and she come 2nd and did a foot perfect individual show but what made us be put down was that she got a bit excited when cantering all around with the others and didn’t know where to put her feet! But I couldn’t be more happy with her

Furthermore I took the handsome Louie who was a rather keen bean but also got a bit scared when we had these big Welsh D’s cantering past us but he held as much as he could together. We did our individual show which he did lovely with just one hiccup where as I asked for canter he drifted so picked the wrong leg up so bought him back then picked up the correct lead again. I’m not worried as he’s only a baby and this was his first proper ridden show! He came 5th which is amazing!

Lastly, I saw my other client that I’ve just started up there and she asked for me to ride Rosie in the coloureds which I’ve only ever ridden her for a half hour hack so still getting use to her! She did fantastic as a green 4 yr old she was amazing! We came 3rd and we are still getting to know eachother but a bright future ahead!

Then this weekend I took the top man to BRC national championships when we competed in the 90cm and he jumped perfectly round with just two poles which was my fault where I just pushed him too much and he just clipped them but we came 36th / 126 riders and the team pulled off a 7th / 29 other teams so we all did amazing!

I’m also really proud of Fred and I because we haven’t jumped a course of jumped for about 10months so it was really chuck us in the deep end!

Then went straight back to work Sunday!

A lovely evening last night at the club field riding Fred in the dressage demo! Lots of lovely comments of Fred and I which was so lovely to hear and Fred behaved as well as he could with some silly Fred moments but that just proves no horse is perfect! I really enjoyed riding him yesterday for everyone and he loved meeting each and every one of you. Thank you everyone that come and watch, I hope you had a lovely time and learnt some tips ❤️

Also spot my new business clothing! I love it 😊

Super day out at the riding club today doing some combine training, show jumping and dressage!
3 tests and 3 show jump rounds on 3 different horses!

Started the day of with porshie doing prelim 7 combine training with a 60 cm course. He warmed up beautifully but as we went into the test he got tense and spooked causing us to drop a good few marks but then settled and produced a 65% test to then get a clear in show jumping to place 4th. I am very proud of him as he’s never seen white boards and he is a sentive boy and can’t come with too much going on hence the misshap in the dressage test but over all we are proud of him and we just got to keep getting him out! Will be a superstar when more confident

Then mr Josh was up he did the 75cm which again
he’s never been to the club and he doesn’t focus very well due to never been out, so went for a training round and he jumped round lovely with just 8 fault due to me circling him to get his attention on the jump but still got a 6th! Then we did the 85cm which he was much more settled in to jump clear but again just one circle infront of a jump to get him focused to come 3rd. So again very pleased for this boy, more training and he’ll be flying!

Lastly, i took my oldie out at the age of 24 this year! We did two novice tests and let’s just say she’s not ready to be retired yet! First test started smoothly but then she just lost her brain in the medium walk and just started shooting back and going sideways quickly but i sat quietly and let her be and she then accepted it and finished off the test to get a respectful 69.76% to take the win followed by a foot perfect second test to get 71.86% to take the win too. Was so lovely to be back out on my girl again 🤍

Well what a few couple of months I have had!

Just a few photos of all the different horses I work with and what I’ve done with them since the last time I’ve updated my page. All I can say is that I’m sorry …

So most horses have been on top form working really hard and being really good but just a handful have been showing me that spring is coming and have been a little naughty but they are happy which is the main thing!

Since I’ve last updated lots of stuff has happened;

I went hunting for the first time ever and I loved it! I took Jack who I broke in 2 years ago and he was super especially for his first time hunting too, very proud of him

Then I got my competition boots out and decided to take mr Fred out affiliated which he hasn’t been out since August! He was a bit tense in the first elementary as only had 5 minutes to warm up as we got stuck in traffic but got a fair score of 67% to win his section and come 3rd overall then a much better elementary 53 to get 69.96% to win his section and win overall! So he was a good boy

Furthermore I went to boyton hall with a couple of my clients, I took Suzie into two class where she got two clear rounds and placed 4th and 3rd which the owner and I were very pleased about! Then I took little porshe out where he tried his heart out but everything was too scary but the main thing was that I got him round in one piece so it was a good training round but still very pleased with him!

Lastly one of my clients went to their First National competition where she rode two very beautiful tests to get some respectable score and she was just outside the top ten in her first test then came 8th in her second test out of 15+ competitors! I’m very pleased that’s she did really well, her nerves did get the best of her making her tests tense but what do you expect it was her first National championships ! and she never thought she’d ever get there but finished both tests with a big smile! So very well done Becky James I’m very proud of you!

Other then them events I’ve just been flat out at work riding these beautiful horses and enjoying life even if the weather hasn’t always been shining!

I’m off to a show tomorrow with Corine and then a couple of clients too, so fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Afternoon guys! Look time no see… I’m so sorry for the radio silence, I’ve been so busy with work and my personal life I just find it hard to keep you all up to date! Well here’s a few photos to what I’ve been up to the last few months since you last heard from me!

So mainly the pictures are of my clients very lovely horses which are all doing super at the moment!

I then decided to dust my competition boots off and decided to take Fred out to some BD where he only went and won all 3 tests! Very please with him as he hasn’t done BD since November last year

Then I went and did pairs cross country with my friend where they stormed round clear to come 4th and then the following weekend i decided to take Fred to poplar park and do the 90cm which he did absolutely amazing considering it was pouring with rain and he hasn’t jumped this height Xc since the beginning of the year!

Lastly I took Fred to codham arena eventing where I did the 90 and 100 and Fred stormed round just tapping two poles in each class to which was my fault as I rode him wrong into them but you live and learn

I also have been doing e riders with Fred and I, we did a novice test to take the win with 73% and then with Norman he got two 1st last month so a very successful month October was…

Furthermore I have some very exciting news coming…🤞🏽

The lovely fudge!

Another Pivo video from my session with fudge who is owned by Julie Alfs I also ride her other pony Millie but I didn't video that session as I forgot I had the pivo.

So a schooling and a little jump session on fudge who was foot perfect and is getting better and better every time I ride him! He’s become more round and softer through the 3 gates and through transitions too. He’s come on so much with his jumping as he didn’t do much of it at all but as you can see he loves it also his flying changes I’ve been teaching him! Which he’s got the hang of them quite well. Fudge can be quick and sharp, where he can drop his shoulder and spin quickly which he hasn’t done to me in a while which is good! I’m very pleased with fudge’s progress with me as we have got a bond together and enjoy our sessions, getting the best of work out of him!

Thank you Julie for trusting me to help you with with fudge and Millie, they are both coming on beautifully! 😁

Well what a good day in the office this morning!

Started the day off with holly who did a super smart test to get 73.40% to come 1st by a milestone! Also her 2nd ever dressage test! So incredibly proud of her, she’s a good little 6 yr old

Then we moved onto pasha who is brand new to dressage, never ever done a test or seen white boards and is a very sharp mare! But today she was foot perfect, did intro b to get 68.37% to come 3rd then did prelim 2 to get 70.17% to come 1st! Incredibly proud of her today, she took everything in her stride!

Then we move to Henry, I’m schooling him for a client whilst she’s on holiday getting him ready for his first prelim test when she gets back and he schooled absolutely beautiful!

Then lastly mr Norman, who i school for a client and also do online dressage called E-riders which he can 2nd with 69.78% in the main arena then came 3rd with 69.78% in the rescue horse class!

So overall a very busy day with also helping to run the dressage show too!

Thank you to everyone one of my clients who support me ❤️

This is Jack, he’s 4 years old and I broke him in late September. This was him today after a hard bare back schooling session ( which I like to do sometimes as you can feel the movement of the horse better without a saddle) it was raining and his friends were there but was foot perfect. we decided to have a bit of fun after, where I have taught he to smile! I decided to take his bridle off and ask him to smile and he did, he didn’t run off or run back to his friends. It so pleasing to have this strong bond with him and trust we have for each other, considering he’s only 4!

Pictures of bare back schooling will be in the comments

Fabulous day over at the club field this morning jumping two lovely client horses

First two pictures is on Indy! Who jump two beautiful clears to come 2nd in both classes. You wouldn’t believe this was her first ever show jumping show on grass, she’s really coming on now. I can’t thank her owner enough for trusting me with her Charmaine Louise Hasson

Then the last two lovely pictures is of pasha! Who jumped a beautiful clear in the first class the come 3rd then the next class we had the last fence down which dropped us from coming 2nd to 5th but I’m very proud of her as this is her first EVER competition let alone her 6th time ever jumping! Thank you to her owner who trusted me to take her out and will definitely be doing it again!

Suffolk show 2023

What a fantastic experience I had for my first time competing at the Suffolk show on a pair of my clients lovely ponies!

I started my day off with Boris ( the little Dartmoor) who worked and produced some beautiful work in our ridden show and individual show to be place 1st and best Dartmoor out of 5 very lovely ponies and to qualify for the championships but decided not to participate as I had my other class when it was going on unfortunately but I’m so over the moon as he was a star. I can’t thank Kerry his owner enough to let me school him weekly for her let alone ride at the Suffolk show! She is super, so thank you. Also thank you to other Kerry who came in and groomed for me, you did super and thank you everyone for the support

Then a quick swap over onto Ryan as my other class was straight after Boris’s. I’m so pleased with how Ryan went he was foot perfect, I couldn’t be any proud of him. He pulled off a 4th out of 7 stunning horses and ponies in his class. Thank you to his owner for letting me have this opportunity to ride him at the show and school him weekly for her and all the support I get.

I am so proud of how both these ponies went for me and all the support I got when running up to the show and when riding, so thank you all 💕🦄

Bit of a delayed post, I do apologise. I’ve just been so busy with work! But on the 30th of April I rode 4 classes on 3 clients horses which all did super well!

Started the day of riding Misty owned by Jess ball in the 60cm working hunter where he jumped round beautifully clear and a lovely ridden show to place a 5th. Just switched off when coming to our individual show as we had to wait so long, as he was standing about for a while so he was a bit backed off my leg but still when around lovely

Then next up was Jacky Wild Kevin in the 75cm who jumped round a lovely clear and again a beautiful ridden show to come 2nd and I was so proud of him as we had a rocky start!

Then to finish the long day with Catherine Akers little porshie who has just turned 5 and was his first ever show so he was a bit tense but also produced some lovely moments and came 2nd qualifying for the championships where he was much more relaxed but just kept moving in the line up which dropped up but still came reserve champion and the judge loved love and said “ he’s one to look out for in the future “

So overall, all horses were foot perfect and I am proud of every single one of them!

Then on the 1st of may I went up to Woodbridge with Becky James to do the 60cm working hunter with her horse which we did a lovely clear and the judge loved her to come 2nd in a big class! Very proud of her as it was my first time competing her and she’s known to be spooky and to stop. So very pleased of all the horses that weekend 🤩
