REMINDER FOR ULVERSTON CLIENTS

Please be aware that our Ulverston site is closed for appointments today & tomorrow. We have a small team on site for medication collection and phone calls only.

If you plan to attend the surgery to collect medication, the door is locked due to painting/decorating being completed. Call the surgery on 01229 583675 and a member of the team will bring your medication to the door to prevent slips/trips.

We have a full team at Barrow to deal with appointments and emergencies.

Important information for clients seen at our Ulverston site.

On Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th February, our Ulverston site will be closed for appointments. You will still be able to collect medication on those dates and contact us via telephone.

Our team will be available at Barrow on those dates for both Ulverston and Barrow patients for routine appointments and urgent/emergency care.

This is for health and safety purposes as maintenance work is being carried out in the reception area at Ulverston.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but I think you will all agree, the reception area is overdue a fresh lick of paint and some TLC☺️

🐶 Dogs can benefit from wearing a coat in the cold weather 🐶🥶❄️
🧥 Wearing a coat/jumper can help keep them warm and cosy, providing insulation from the winter weather! It can also make them much easier to clean after a walk by preventing mud sticking to them as much and/or help with visibility out on a walk 🧥

Dogs that may benefit from wearing a coat include:
🐶 young dogs/puppies
🐶 senior dogs (particularly arthritic ones)
🐶 thin or lean dogs
🐶 short-haired or lightly-haired dogs
🐶 small dogs
🐶 dogs with hair loss (alopecia)
🐶 hairless breeds

Make sure to pick a coat/jumper that doesn’t restrict their natural limb movements and is properly fitting 🏃‍♀️

🏆Our Ulverston site has had this accreditation for over 10 years!🏆

We went through the application process for our Barrow site to be accredited at the end of 2024 and hope to receive our confirmation within the next few weeks!

10 week old kitten, Loki, was in for his first vaccination with us recently at our Barrow branch. Pleased to say he didn’t even notice the injection with the help of a lickimat! 🌟 How cute is he!? 🤭❤️

Badger came in for his annual check up and booster vaccination this week - he can be quite nervous at the vets, not really wanting to be examined. Today, with the help of a lickimat, he did amazing and was so brave - didn’t need to be held at all for the examination or injection! Well done Badger 🦡🌟
