New patient! This young male rat was handed to us... Pretty much dumped on us... We couldn't not help! When we gave him a health check it was very obvious he was infested with mites and was very underweight! He also has a suspected abscess as you can see from the video! We took him straight to our trusted vet who sent us home with a concoction of drugs, antibiotics & pain relief for his face and a stong mite treatment to clear his poor itchy skin up! We're hoping with treatment and TLC this will get him better but if not he might have to be put under to treat the suspected abscess. Dispite all this HE IS A LITTLE STAR!!! his skin has cleared and he is much less itchy and now has a BIG appetite which is great! He's very friendly and just a sweet little boy. Vets bills so far have racked up to £73... If you feel you can help us to cover his bill, no matter how big or small we would be very grateful!!
