The wonderful Dogs Trust are coming into the library on Wednesday 14th August between 1-2pm. They are putting on an event to make a free dog toy that you can take home. They will also be able to speak to you about anything regarding dogs.🐶

There is no need to book for this event just come along, this is a human only event 😁

As much as I love my job, today has been one of the hardest since I started Milo’s. We were supposed to be going on one of our walks, just like yesterday, but instead, we were at the vet's. Saying goodbye to any dog is hard, but saying goodbye to Benji has been especially difficult.

Benji has been with me from the start—more than 2.5 years, to be precise. He was the most amazing boy and, of course, my favorite breed, a staffy.

Benji, I will miss you every day, but now you can be with your dad. I’ll be there to ensure your mum is okay, as I know she will be lost without you. Run free, boy. 🌈🐾💙

Veterinary teams are reporting that XL bullys appear to have “more friable tissue” that “bleeds more readily”, with several of the dogs needing to go back to surgery to find the source of bleeding.

From 10 June 2024 cats over 20 weeks old must be and registered on a compliant database 📆

By microchipping their cats, owners can increase the likelihood that they will be reunited with their beloved pet in the event that they go missing.

From 10 June, all pet cats over 20 weeks old must be microchipped and registered on a compliant database – or owners could risk a fine.

I'm fully insured to walk all exempted dogs, once proper paperwork is provided. Share your exemption documents and liability insurance details with me. Friendly reminder: Let's ensure our furry pals are safe and sound with up-to-date ID tags, microchips, and registrations. As of 2024, it's crucial for dog owners in the UK to stay informed about the rules and regulations for me to operate legally and responsibly.

According to the Control of Dogs Order 1992, dogs in public places must wear a collar with an ID tag bearing the owner’s name and address. This rule is essential for reuniting lost dogs with their owners and avoiding hefty penalties.

To uphold these standards, I'll be diligently checking ID tags before our walks. If your dog doesn't have one, I won't be able to proceed with the walk off your property.

However, payment for the service will still be required. Let's keep our walks safe, legal, and enjoyable for everyone involved! 🐶💼
