Hope had a lovely Christmas break. I've made the decision that I will be closing down my dog shop in the coming months so stock will not be replaced as it sells out. Loads of scentwork items and lickimats available.

To all my friends...please STOP buying products. They seem to condone the use of e-collars (aka shock collars) on dogs.

This is not okay. In fact from Feb 2024 it is actually illegal to use these collars at all in the UK.

Also...where animals are used in adverts they should also be using licensed animals where those license clearly state that this sort of "training" (I mean Abuse) is not acceptable and licenses can be revoked.

Hi ,
You may or may not have heard the news that has erupted in the dog world last week. This being that Absolute Dogs have been found out for overbreeding and puppy farming and they also have directorship and ownership with Tugg-e-Nuff.

I am against puppy farming and if you’ve engaged with me in conversation about getting a puppy you’ll have heard my do’s and don’t for checks, questions to ask etc and I’d have likely steered you in various directions for information as well. You’ll know I’m against it. It’s a vile practise, cruel to dogs and puppies and the money-grabbing-people found out should be prosecuted.

Its also a lesson and warning to really be sure about who you go to when it comes to dog training as Absolute Dogs were seen as being extremely popular in the pet ownership and agility sport world and a lot of people (myself included) were completely oblivious to their "supplementary income". If you are looking for a trainer, please do your homework and also ask around. If I don't know the answers, I have friends far more involved in the dog training community who I can ask.

Anyway, hearing the news that a brand I’ve respected for a long time is associated with Absolute Dogs, has really hit a nerve. But I now have a bit of a quandry. I have a large pile of stock, already paid for, waiting to sell on, it was all up on my website. In good conscious, whilst the profits has already been made on Tugg-e-Nuff’s side, I cannot make profit as I do not want any further association and I do not wish to advocate or promote the business in anyway. I will not be selling more stock in the future.

The products have already been taken down off the website. In the coming days as I double check what stock I do I have and I will pop up a list here to sell the items at cost price, to at least try and recoup some of my costs. They are all new, but I will be cutting off the tag. They will be sold on a first come first serve basis at cost price. Postage is £3.50 (if under 1kg) and £5 (for over 1kg).

Toys toys and toys. I've always preferred my dogs destroy their toys (and there have been a LOT) that my shoes or furniture. I don't know why but sometimes a dog just likes chewing something soft and squishy so toys... there's a small selection over on www.k9playdogshop.co.uk

Enriching licki mats and slow feeders. My three love it when these come out mostly because it means something yummy is on the way. But they get their dinner in them too. This is usually when we are away because they are nice and slim and easy to pack.

Chester really likes the travel mat. He couldn't wait for Kouna to get off before nabbing a corner for himself. Guess we're keeping that one🤞🤷‍♀️

New stock is finally here and I'm going to start drifting in a new direction. Don't worry your scentwork soaks, odours and cannisters will still be here.. but when it comes to toys and enrichment I'm changing gears a tiny bit. I'll still be advertising the stock I have but new stock that comes in... I'm going to try source British made AND wherever possible "made from recycled". Some items may not be from recycled wares but I'm keen to try support British made so if you have a favourite UK-made brand. Let me know and I may just add their stock.

In the meantime... more and new Tugg-e-Nuff stock is in!

If I was to order a variety of large natural chews (plus rabbit and lamb ears) for my Dog Shop for dogs would buy them? Things like

- Large venison skins
- Large boar skins
- large cow ears
- Large Yak Bars
- Jumbo paddy wacks

Anything else you'd be looking for? What about toys? Enrichment Things? I'm looking to expand a little bit but really not sure with what?
