GBK are delighted to announce work has begun in earnest on our new cattery. We estimate it will be complete, licensed and open for business sometime in August.
So to all our patient customers who bring their dogs to holiday with us....the wait is almost over, you will be able to bring your cats too !!!😁.

We hope, as always, that all of our loyal customers , old and new, are keeping well and remaining positive.

In these exciting yet uncertain times, we all need something to look forward to. Whether you're eager to book a dream holiday abroad, head off on a staycation, meet up with family and friends or simply enjoy an evening out, we are here to provide reassurance and reliability when it comes to the care of your precious pets🐾🐾

We pride ourselves on our flexible booking approach. This means that you can make preliminary bookings including:
🔹️ a one -night stay
🔹️ weekend stays
🔹️ 1- 2 week stays
🔹️ long term boarding of more than 3 weeks
....and, if you need to alter or cancel your dates for any reason ( unlike most other boarding establishments) we don't take deposits and we won't request partial payment *. All we ask is that you keep us updated on your plans.

A huge thank you to all who have booked in already. We are keeping our fingers and paws crossed for a smooth transition back to normality.

Good afternoon, we hope you are all doing your best to stay safe and well.

We have now completed the upgrade to the roof on our outer runs. They are now covered in conservatory grade Corotherm. This keeps available heat in in colder months but also keeps them cool in the warmer months so your pets can enjoy comfortable conditions what ever the weather.

Our paddock plunge pool is also ready for those warm days which are hopefully on the way !!!.

Last but not least, many thanks to all our customers for keeping us up to date with their disrupted, and ever changing travel plans during these difficult times. Please take care, hope to see you all soon, your custom is always appreciated.

Good Morning,

Just topped up our hand sanitiser station here at GBK.

We have many valued customers still relying on us during these difficult times. The safety of our customers and visitors is paramount and therefore, we request that :

✅ All customers and visitors sanitise before entering and upon exiting the building.

✅ All customers and visitors adhere to their given time slots, when dropping off or collecting their pets.

We have additional distancing and safety measures in place. These will be discussed with customers, when bookings are taken.

Here at GBK, the welfare, peace of mind and security of both our borders and their owners is our priority. Our property is set away from main roads and is only accessibly by our private lane.
Our main gates are remotely locked outside of opening hours and CCTV is in operation around our kennels.

"We are in our 23rd year of business but we’ve been dog owners for double that time. We feel extremely privileged to be able to do this job and derive an income from it, but for us it’s not about the money it’s about loving what we do. All our dogs are treated as our own, they are on holiday when staying with us so they do get a little spoiled!

We are set away from any main roads in 17 acres of our own private land in a peaceful, countryside setting. Being a small, family run business, we do not employ an array of staff. Therefore, we can care for, monitor and observe our dogs personally just as we do for our own pets. Subsequently, this enables us to react quickly, efficiently and with the upmost care to any abnormal behaviour, distress or signs of illness.

We work hard at GBK to provide each of our boarders with a routine in which they thrive and respond to, or, if owners prefer, they are invited to write down their preferred routine for their pet which we follow to the letter. We walk our dogs a minimum of 4 times a day. All customers are greeted individually and personally. Secure extender leads are used. If owners permit, dogs are walked with other boarders to make new friends and socialise or for dogs who prefer their own company or for safety reasons, we walk them alone.

Keeping your dog safe, happy and content is always our priority. We do not operate a communal exercise area, we prefer the personal contact of leading up and walking, just as you would at home. For boarders unable to take exercise, we adapt to suit the individual. We are happy for owners to bring their dogs own bed or we will provide bedding within the boarding fees and make them comfy.

We always ask that you ensure to bring something for your pet which smells of home to help them settle and feel at ease. We feed our dogs at breakfast and dinner time with both wet and dry food. Each dog’s feeding requirements are discussed with owners pre boarding."
