Yesterday we said our final goodbye to Monkey 💔😭

Anyone who knew me and met her, knew that she wasn’t “just a dog” to me. She was there through so many chapters of my life — my constant, my comfort, my shadow, and honestly a huge part of who I am today, she saved me. Losing her has completely broken my heart.

Because of that, I’m going to be taking a week away from work, classes, messages and social media to grieve and to give myself space to try and process this.

Dogs are at the centre of my work every single day, and right now I just need a little time to be human and heartbroken 💔

Thank you to everyone who has supported my business, my dogs, and especially Monkey over the years. She was deeply loved, incredibly special, and I will miss her for the rest of my life.

Please bear with me while I take this time away. I’ll respond to messages as soon as I’m able.

I just wanted to be a little honest and explain why I’ve been quieter than usual recently and a bit slower replying to messages.

Over the last 3 weeks, my beautiful 13-year-old Border Collie, Monkey has had two vestibular episodes, and it’s been an incredibly emotional and worrying time. Anyone who has loved an older dog will understand how hard it is seeing them suddenly seem so fragile when they’ve been by your side for so many years.

For those of you that have met Monkey, you’ll know how she didn’t look or act like an older dog so this has been a really bitter pill to swallow 🥺 watching my super active dog become completely bed bound and, at points, unable to walk is beyond comprehension 😭

Right now my time, energy, and heart are very much focused on her, so I’m trying to juggle work around caring for her and soaking up every moment together.

I am getting back to messages as quickly as I can, and I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, kindness, and understanding more than you know ♥️

On the 14th of June, we’re running our next Reactive Dog Workshop.

Our workshop helps you understand what’s actually going on underneath the barking, lunging, or overreactions — and gives you the skills to handle those moments with more confidence.

We’ll look at:

🐾 Why your dog is reacting (and why it’s not just “bad behaviour”)
🐾 How to spot the early signs before things escalate
🐾 What to do in the moment instead of feeling stuck or overwhelmed
🐾 Simple, practical training using neutral stooge dogs that you can start using straight away

No judgement. No pressure. Just real-life support and guidance in a space where everyone gets it.

Just a little post to explain why I’ve been a bit quiet recently.

Sadly, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have my horse put to sleep. As many of you will know, our animals aren’t just animals – they’re family – so it’s been a really difficult and emotional time.

I’ve taken a little step back over the last few days to process everything and spend some time with my family. Thank you so much for your patience if you’ve been waiting on a reply from me.

I’ll be catching up with messages and getting back to everyone as soon as I can. I really appreciate your understanding and support.

I’ve been asked for this SO many times, and I’m so excited to say I’m now offering Agility Foundations 🎉

This class is perfect for:

🐾 Dogs and/or handlers that are new to agility
🐾 Young dogs (6 months +)
🐾 Handlers who want to build strong skills the right way
🐾 Anyone who wants to improve focus, confidence & teamwork

We’ll be working on all the important building blocks that make great agility dogs — engagement, drive, body awareness, handling skills, start line skills and confidence around equipment.

No rushing. No pressure. Just solid training that sets you and your dog up for success 💪
