It is currently a whopping 26 degrees today!

Heat stress starts as a reversible condition, but if not managed it
will develop to heat stroke, which is extremely dangerous.
If your pet shows any of these signs, they should be moved to a
cool area and offered plenty of water to drink.

It is a little bit of a hot day out there!

Top tips for taking care of your pets during the warm weather
-Never leave your pet in a hot car !
-Walk dogs early in the morning or late evening when it is cooler
-Hold your hand to the pavement to ensure no risk of burning pads
-Ensure easy access to plenty of water, this is especially important for older pets with reduced mobility
-Use fans and windows to keep your house cool
-Ensure small furry pets (Gpigs and rabbits ) have plenty of shade and water available. Bring them indoors if you can
-Monitor for signs of heat stroke

Please be aware our amazing team are working with a new system that has gone live this week and whilst it is a fantastic one it is going to take some getting used to .

💗Milo💗
Marvelous Milo came in for routine castrate today, here he is modelling his lovely body suit to prevent him licking his surgical site and causing any problems.

All of our wonderful patients that under go routine surgical procedures have a couple of post op checks free of charge with a member of our nursing team to make sure they are healing nicely.

Milo should be taking it easy for a couple of days but he is very bouncy and very happy so it might be a bit of a challenge 🙈

We have had a young black cat handed into us from the cave golfcourse area Boughton.
Very friendly and in good condition
No chip
He has got a couple of distinct markings which we won't disclose but hopefully the owner will know!
