Meet Tom🐾

Tom launched Canine Physio Specialists in 2022, driven by his love for animals and a genuine passion for helping dogs recover, move freely, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Tom holds a Master’s degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy, completed in 2019. Since then, he’s worked across both veterinary and rehabilitation settings, developing the hands-on expertise he brings to every session.

With over five years of experience, Tom has supported countless dogs through recovery from injury, surgery, and age-related conditions. His approach is always calm, tailored, and built on trust, making each dog feel safe and supported.

Tom believes every dog deserves a comfortable, active life. That’s the heart of everything he does at Canine Physio Specialists, helping dogs live well, move better, and get back to doing what they love.

Not just for dogs! 🐱💡

This beautiful cat recently received a laser therapy session to support healing and reduce inflammation.

While most of our patients are dogs, physiotherapy and laser therapy can also be incredibly beneficial for cats especially those living with arthritis, post-surgical pain, or soft tissue injuries.

🐾 Lola’s making a splash in her recovery journey! 🐾

After having cruciate surgery (a TPLO), she lost some muscle in her back leg from not using it. Now, we’re helping her rebuild strength in that leg and support the other side to prevent further injury.

Meet Manuka 🐾

After being diagnosed with IVDD, Manuka faced a tough road ahead, but he’s been taking it all in his stride.

IVDD, or Intervertebral Disc Disease, is a condition where the cushioning discs between the vertebrae in the spine bulge or rupture, putting pressure on the spinal cord. It can affect mobility, cause pain, and in some cases, lead to paralysis, but with the right physiotherapy, many dogs make amazing progress.

With regular rehab sessions, laser therapy, and plenty of love from his humans, Manuka is now well on the way to recovery. His determination (and waggy tail) never fail to inspire us! 🐕
