They've lost a member of their team.
His widow and family will continue to get support from PFK but donations are still needed to keep the equids etc fed.

Good morning from Fluffyland ☀️

So we’ve power for the moment 💪 🎉
Once all the water troughs had been filled ✅
I took the opportunity to wash out Babz, Clarence, Sonica, JimJam and Sir Jamie’s stable.

They WERE all out playing.. but once they saw I was in their stable it seemingly was way more fun to help me 😂
Their stable is washed..
They have fresh clean straw
The the 3 amigos legs are washed 😂.. (Funnily enough Sir Jamie & JimJam weren’t up for that part 😂)

I myself am now in need of a wash and a change of t-shirt and it’s only 950 😂

The pylon works continue 🫣
But we’ve 48 vet students today - all very excited as most have never been so close to so many animals.

Sayed is here so they’ll get to see and understand the importance of good hoof care

Dr Ahmed & Dr Ibrahim will give demos (Malak is to be the ⭐️ of that show..)

So it’s Manes, pedicures and adoration from many eager students

The dogs have already had millions of photos taken of them 😂

Hands on work , keeping the rubbish at bay whilst the Donks supervise.

Good morning from Fluffyland ☀️

We have a power cut which means that we can’t shower the horses until it comes back on. It’s been off since the early hours.. I know this because my phone only charged to 50% while I slept 😳

So this morning I am channeling my inner “Landess” (cleaning goddess) and despite protests from the guys 😂 collecting up all the plastic that’s blown in from the desert.

I have plenty of “helpers” as you can see 🤨
“Will you stop nibbling at my bottom” is being said very often 😂

Saturday is Cataday apparently 🤣

Alan has The Ginger Ninja and Merrie has Meeps 😻

We’ve only “officially” got two cats on the land, these two have been accepted as “Superior Beings” by all the PFK dogs 🤣

Meeps is actually more Ninjary than Ninja himself 🤣- she loves to leap on you out of the blue from on high whereas Ninja is way more polite - he asks to be picked up 😻
They live in and around the office - Dofta has trained them well and they do fly back in when called!

Over the past 6 months we’ve sadly seen a huge drop in donations. The cost of living crisis has affected everyone all around the world.

We’ve really been struggling to keep up with the running costs of PFK.

We currently care for over 200 horses, almost an even split between permanents (those retired with us) and fosters (those that in time will go home to their owners)

Then there’s over 70 permanent donkeys & around 30 fosters.

Then there’s all the other animals that call Fluffyland home, some being brought to us and others finding their way and deciding to stay..

Not forgetting Ernesto and Esmerelda 🦃🦃

Over the past few months we’ve focused on paying daily to ensure we don’t owe anyone in Egypt.
Always ensuring that we’re getting the best deals possible - for us every penny counts!!

We used to always have around £5000 in savings - around a weeks money.
Sadly we’ve not had that for a few months now.

Today is the first time that we can’t pay for the day 🫣

Yesterday we were straight - carrots 🥕✅ clover ☘️✅ farrier ✅
And we had the money ready for the pellets bill due tomorrow.. (circa £650)

But then this chaff truck and the Peanut root turned up 🫣

Today we’ve paid for the daily clover £200 ✅

So we really need your help!

Good morning everyone 😄
Sadly not from ☀️ Fluffyland, from a cold and wet UK 🙄🤣 On Friday I travelled back to the UK for a short trip.

The ringers and water pump fundraiser was so wholeheartedly and wonderfully supported by you all that by late Thursday evening when I checked PayPal and the banks you’d not only reached the target - neigh, you’d galloped 🐎past it ❤️

My last morning is always a bit manic but the first thing I did was tell the guys to order the ringers and not one but TWO water pumps with automatic controls!
The water pumps turned up just before I left and by the time I landed in the UK and switched my mobile phone back on.. I’d been sent the picture of the ringers having been delivered too! ❤️❤️
Even better.. when I looked at the fundraiser total on Facebook.. the total on there was also £500 🎉 which means when we get the payout in about a month we’ve the funds to buy the next lot of ringers and another pump!!

(At this flufftastic rate the list for Santa may only have a couple of pumps left on it ❤️)

Well done to everyone that donated.
Cool water or EVEN just drinkable water is a necessity that we often take for granted.
Consider a $1/5 auto donation weekly or monthly as it does save lives.

🤩🤩🤩Update! Within a few hours! Fully funded thank you ❤️ You’ve all been so lovely that not only has this been fully funded - we’ve almost raised enough to also buy a much needed new water pump! (Roughly the same price 😄) Thank you all so very much!!

I would really like to buy a “water fridge” for the guys.
The water here as many of you know is ground water. Fine for everything but drinking!
Instead the guys take bottles across the street or down the road and fill them up from communal water stations.
I found out recently that they’re not as expensive as I thought - the team reckons 10,000Egp for the “water fridge” itself and then it’s a case of getting it filled up when it runs out (said to be only a few 100 EGP at a time)

It will benefit everyone - staff and people bringing their animals to us!

We actually have the water container part already (it just needs reburishing! And re siting!)

10,000 EGP is around £150 plus maybe £50 to resite and refurb the old container

£1 from 200 people and it would be covered!
