Rosie has been working hard today learning to trust new people.
Daine and Connor had the pleasure of gaining her trust, and helping her along her journey of realising that closer relationships with people are not so bad afterall.
🤍
Nimbus, a very excitable little dude who has been working on the following.

Pack Walks
A place for the dogs to learn the understanding of social / dog etiquette, calm minds and explore the word all whilst practicing self control and other essential practical obedience.
Storm, a 5 month old Labrador, building on her lead manners.
————————————————————————
Last week, Storm had no idea how to walk on a short loose lead and also struggled to remain calm around other dogs.
————————————————————————
This week however, that is no longer a problem.
Now its time to start building her confidence around new people and learn to trust the world.
Go on girl 🤍
Angus, Rocky, Winston and Jess.
Dream Team
The most important thing to teach a dog is calmness, no matter where you are or who you are with.
Impulse control, an important thing to teach your dogs if you want them to live a content and safe life.
Without this, any excitement your dog feels will send them over threshold. This will cause them to make irrational decisions, put themselves in danger and become emotionally unstable.
Not sure what Impulse control is? Let us know, and we’ll help you.
We cannot wait to get back to Training in Tenerife as soon as the world allows us!
•Jess, three years ago working on her stays.
Lexie is back!
This little lady was recently diagnosed with a very serious illness, however after a few weeks of fighting hard she is back on form and playing with her brother.
Such a warrior. 🖤
A great session for Bella, a Rottweiler X Dobermann, today practicing some loose lead work around distractions.
These two are absolutely smashing their training and are going to be exceptional. 🖤
Some loose lead work with Barney today.
His first session, and look at that!
Rosie, attending Day Schools for Human Reactivity and Over Excitement around other dogs.
————————————————————————
THE FIRST STEP✔️
•Advancing her obedience and controlled socialisation. This is to give her more confidence in her own decision making skills, alongside a better understanding of own emotions.
———————————————————————
Already, in 5 sessions, we have seen a massive improvement in her etiquette surrounding dogs and strange people.
The next step?
•Building her handlers confidence too, the most important part in Dog Training.
Distance, Distraction, Control.
Another important safety cue, the ‘stay’ until release. Practiced anywhere and everywhere, to condition the behaviour in all situations, no matter the distraction.
Reliable Recall.
A must have for all dogs attending Pack Walks at K99.
A trained dog is a happy, and SAFE dog.
