Just a few travel updates!! The further south we go in Morocco, the cats are fed more, looked after and even neutered in many cases. Turkeys wander the streets, and the cats love hanging around the fish markets! You often see cats tucking into piles of biscuits!! Found an injured seagull yesterday, with a broken wing so I went to the fishing port and got him some sardines, a nearby kitten joined in too. Looks bedraggled as we has a bit of rain and she was sandy! I had a hair pamper session before we travelled on!!

Honouring our silent heroes this remembrance week 🕊 A poem to start off our Friday morning as we remember the brave animals who stood alongside soldiers in times of conflict.

Silent Service:

In fields of poppies, red and bright,
lie tales of courage, sacrifice and might.
Not only soldiers, brave and true,
but animals, too, who saw it through.

The horses charged with hearts ablaze,
through mud and fire, in smoke filled haze.
They bore the weight, they knew no fear,
In every hoofbeat, a silent tear.

The messenger pigeons, wings unfurled,
carried hope across a war torn world.
Through skies of peril, they flew their part.
With precious words to heal the heart.

The dogs who ran through fields of dread,
sniffing danger, forging ahead.
With loyalty fierce, they served and stayed.
In trenches dark, where soldiers prayed.

And cats on ships kept rodents at bay,
in storm tossed seas and skies of gray.
Each small paw, each gentle purr,
a comfort found amidst the stir.

So on this day, let us recall,
the animals who gave their all.
with silent service brave and deep.
their memories, in peace, we keep.

We are backpacking for a month and currently in Fes, Morocco. We always have cat food in our packs! I wish they would neuter the cats. Too many kittens!

***UPDATE

Sorry, I forgot to update this. Ollie and Paintpot found their forever home in September and they are very safe, cared and loved ❣️💙

Due to the sad loss of one of my old customers and friend, I need to find a forever home for Paintpot & Ollie. They are female and male respectively, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and had a 6 month vet check a couple of weeks ago. It is so sad they have lost their human and they are desperate for cuddles, love and security. They need to be together with no dogs or very young children. Please share the hell out of this and think of anyone who would be ideal as their forever human. ❣️💙😻

I am supporting Croughton based, Equilore - equine therapy support for mental health. I am loving my volunteer time working with the horses. They help adults & children with mental health, medical conditions, bereavement issues & more. They are fundraising over the summer and need tombola prizes. If you have anything suitable such as unwanted toiletries, candles, chocolates, bottles & any typical tombola items, Equilore would be so grateful, as we need funds to continue. Thank you🐎🙏🧲🐴

It's been a sad few months losing Jessie and still is, but have missed posting and keeping in touch. Animals and pets are still very much a part of my life and I am hoping to start volunteer work with them soon 🐴🐎🫏💙❣️

Well just eight days left. Very mixed emotions of sadness and excitement. These two characters are making things hard as I love them so much and I have looked after them and their predecessors for 18 years. Starting with Charlie, then Susie, Loopy Lou and Bonita. I am making lots of memories with Paintpot and Ollie at the moment and they are loving every minute of it! Had a few sad goodbyes this week and some lovely comments from humans!! I am sure there will be a few more pics to follow!

Animal Magic newsflash! After 20 fun packed, eclectic, challenging yet rewarding years Animal Magic is winding down at the end of September. Having mixed emotions of sadness and excitement - it is time to retire early and move onto the next chapter and start a new adventure. Look at this stunning boy. His name is Alfy and he is a Maine C**n. I think he is the largest cat I have looked after in the last 20 years - not because he is overweight, he is just healthily a big boy! They are such a big breed and I have looked after many of them. He wins the prize for size and having the biggest heart - he is such a softie!! 💙
